I am a native New Yorker so when I saw there was a Katz's Deli in Houston I was thrilled. I went around midnight. (They are open 24 hours). My husband and I split a Reuben and fries. The sandwiches are huge just like in NY. The Reuben was perfect. I could not have asked for better. We sat at... More

I go here for my favorites, the enormous reuben sandwich, cole slaw, lox and bagels, borscht, and cheese blintzes, never all at the same time, because that would be physically impossible! Open 24 hours, great service and food. We always enjoy our visits there, and wish it were closer.

Finally made it back and glad I came. That Reuben never disappoints. Not even the skinny one it is full of meat. It was breakfast time so we got the buttermilk pancakes , hash browns( not shredded ones) and beef bacon. A nice amount for an adult .There is a kids menu so don't have to worry about giving small... I have not wandered down to Montrose in a while and a Ruben sandwich filled the bill on this unusually cold Houston night. Service was stellar and food excellent as I remembered.

Katz's Deli has been around Houston for over 30 years and is the most established Jewish Deli in town. For a long time, it was the only one, but today, it has a lot of competition. The basic sandwiches are well made, and their flavors, as well as the sides are very good. The portions are huge, so be careful... More

We often end up at Katz as my niece and nephew live near here and it has something for everybody. And it is always open. I had not been here since they had the breakfast options. We got to choose four options out of a list for breakfast and it was spectacular. I had French toast and eggs and juice... More

I need to comment about this. I just had the worst Bagel and Lox experience ever! Nova Scotia Lox needs to be cut by hand and so thin that it is translucent. Katz's knows better. They should have said our cutter is out or declined to serve that dish. Instead they allowed a hack to butcher the lox into little... More

First time here with friends. Had a lunch meeting, and I ordered the Reuben sandwich with a side order of very good onion rings, another friend ordered the pot of chicken and dumplings. The pot had great flavor and lots of vegetables. However, my friend spotted a bit of plastic sticking out, he pulled on it, and we were all... More
