I've eaten at Mama Ninfa's for decades but this was my first visit visit to the "Original Ninfa's". The food here was better than what I've had at the Gulf Freeway location. You gotta try the green sauce; it's really good! The building sure has been here for a while. It's in good shape, but you don't often see a... More

I was in Houston 48 hours and had five Tex-Mex meals, which got to be a bit much, given that I live in San Diego! But ... Ninfa's was fantastic and blew every other meal I had out of the water. The space was funky and cool and comfortable. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was really excellent... More

This is still one of the best Mexican food places in Houston. Their Margaritas are very good also. Service can be spotty depending on who you get...If you get an old timer like Hugo or Tina you will be well taken care of.

We headed here after picking up my husbands sister at the airport. It was barely 11 am, so we were early. They treated us like star guests. The food was very fresh and everyone loved it.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and I believe that all the great reviews here left us with great expectations; they were unfulfilled. I can see this place being worth a second chance in that it was good but not great...on the other hand, it is out of the way for us and we might just try other... More

It's been almost a year since I've been here to eat and I have always found it delicious. On this visit it seemed the service was exceptionally fast and I really enjoyed my meal. This is it I got the Diablo shrimp tacos. Shrimp wrapped in bacon with a jalapeño slices wrapped inside. It was crazy good!

Typical Tex Mex. a little expensive and the food is average imo. Meat was a little dry and over cooked and the bill was more than I would have liked. But still it's a historical landmark so you should try it at least once.

Great food. We take the family here all the time. Best Tex Mex food around. I LOVE the Sangria Margherita's To die for. Quail is awesome also. Great chips and dip. Great prices. This continues to be a favorite of mine year after year..

Read a lot of good reviews about this place on tripadvisor, decided to give it a try. Sure wasn't disappointed. Both the food and the service were superb!!!. I've never been a fan of Mexican food until this time. If you are in Houston, be sure to visit this restaurant. You won't be disappointed...
