Our family came to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We've heard so much about this place, we decided to give it a go. The ambiance was very nice and the service was good, and we did enjoy a nice bottle of wine. However, food left much to be desired. It was either too salty or just plain tasteless. My... More

We had a board meeting at lunch on a Wednesday in a private room for 10 of us and it was perfect. We had excellent service throughout the meal and we could choose from a special menu that offered 5-6 first courses including salads and shrimp and turtle soups, main courses of chicken, fish or beef, maybe 8 selections and... I cannot eat shellfish so I was quite limited on what I could order. I had a salad and steak. The salad was fine. I ordered the steak medium rare and it was delivered as ordered but the steak had considerable gristle. I am not sure what the seasoning was but it was a bit much and could have used... More

Did not enjoy at all. Salty food. Misrepresented menu . Ugh! Don't be fooled by the Brennans name. Overpriced and nothing special AT ALL! Don't even ask about the service.

Brunch at Brennan's was excellent. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. We arrived at 10 for brunch, when they opened. The food was also very good. I chose the signature dishes of Turtle Soup, Eggs Brennan and Bananas Foster.

We've enjoyed 3 Thanksgiving dinners in a row here. It's a fantastic restaurant with excellent service. But out-of-towners should consider squeezing in a Happy Hour @ Brennan's of Houston: they offer small plates of amazing appetizers and inexpensive drinks. The Bartender & crew do not rush guests. It's a super pleasant experience. We just enjoyed Happy Hour here during Super... More

We were travelling for work & pleasure to Houston and came across this place our last evening. Everything from the reservation process to the check went great. From sightseeing all day we were not quite dressed for the formal requirements but the manager and staff were so kind and allowed us to stay and experience the best of Houston in... More

My wife, sister and our family friend went out on a Monday night and had a great time. The restaurant was not busy and the service was very good even if a tad slow off the mark. The waiter was professional as was his helper, both were attentive with a deft touch; not intrusive or pushy. Our waiter was very... More

Brennan's is our favorite restaurant in Houston but our last visit was less than spectacular. The service was fantastic but not sure if Sunday night is a good night to go there. The Redfish was underwhelming (did not smell fresh) and the Pork Chop was a bit though. We will definitely go again but hope it gets back to the... More

Description
Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.
