Bad service quality, poor customer treatment. I wouldn’t prefer to try it one more time. By the way I don’t think it’s authentic Turkish food, Adana was burned and the side salad was weird.

The food is WONDERFUL but the bill was not accurate, and this has happened a lot recently. I ordered the Meze Tabagi- Mixed Appetizer ($16.50). It is a great meal for one person. To pay I was asked to put my debit card in a...handheld cream-colored machine. Buttons at the bottom indicated the tip level. I chose 20%. The man looked at me and said "you don't need a receipt, do you? I said, "not necessary" and left. When I looked at my bank record online today, I see I was charged, $25.34. The bill should have been $19.80. That bothers me and it's not about the money. My advice, is to ask for a hard copy receipt and then leave the tip accordingly.More
I was needing fresh, clean food and this place nailed it. I got the appetizer sampler. Everything was fresh, homemade. The yogurt was very smooth and flavorful. The hummus was also smooth and very good. If I lived here, I would come here at least...twice a week. My husband got the beef platter. It was good. The beef had a lot of flavor, but the plate seemed to be missing something. The Turkish bread was a nice addition to the meal too.More
Great flavors takes me back to Istanbul vacation . Everyone is well seasoned and great selection of meats . Lamb is super moist and flavorful Definitely recommend
Been here several times and Istanbul Grill never disappoints. Casual dining with excellent food and speedy service. Their hummus is hands down the best I’ve ever had.
I bet the food is great, but I didn’t even get to try it. I was told that I couldn’t bring my own drink in there despite telling them I would buy another drink from them. So i left!
We had an early dinner. The food was excellent; The service was a bit slow. Highly recommended for Turkish cuisine lovers.
Extremely rude and unprofessional staff starting from the waiter who escorted us inside to the one who took our order and served us.
I was married to a woman whose family came from the same region in Turkey as did the owner...I find the food at Istanbul Grill to be authentic and very much what I am used to eating with my in-laws. I find it to be...tasty, just right with the spices, well prepared and served in a timely manner. Even during the COVID crisis, Istanbul Grill is a great place to go, they have utilized their outside seating to allow diners to eat on site. The staff is very attentive and remembers me on each visit. My favorite place to eat in Houston!More
This was my second visit and I really enjoyed the shish tavuk. I wish they would bring back their manti (tiny dumplings in yogurt sauce).
I really love Turkish food. Shady this place is awful. The plastic table cloths and truly terrible lighting. The food is tasteful and not very good quality. Staff are pleasant enough. I will never go back.
We enjoyed dinner here on a recent visit to the area. We had a really nice experience: pleasant and attentive service, good food, nice Turkish wine. Pleasant conversation. The dolmas were very good to start, as was the lentil soup. We had the mixed grill...and the lamb kebab. Both were prepared nicely and were tender and flavorful. Enjoyed the rice with chickpea and the salad that accompanied it. It was very fresh and colorful. It was a perfect mix of casual setting, good food, and relaxed atmosphere. Our server couldn’t have been more kind or pleasant. It was a very nice find. We’ll return on our next visit.More
The service was great, and I enjoyed their flat bread and hummus, but the dolmas had too much cinnamon for my liking and the stuffed mushrooms just were not very good. They were a bit under cooked and had large pieces of a fresh herb...that was bitter. Everyone else in the party had gyros. If you are a meat eater, then it might be great, I don't know, but as a vegetarian, I would not go back.More
Great experience! Lunch on a Saturday! Our server was very welcoming and helpful. Everything we ordered was perfect. You have to try the Turkish coffee, Iskender Kebab and any of their baklavas. We will be back.
In Rice Village on the Morningside restaurant row. Casual setting with good indoor and outdoor seating. All the classic Turkish dishes very well made, some with a unique twist. My vegetarian lahmacun platter arrived with two Turkish flat beards rolled up with an eggplant mix...inside. The flat beards were very thin and pleasingly crisp on the exterior. Salad also included as a side. Yummy! Traditional Turkish tea available in the small tulip glasses. Service excellent although many servers not Turkish. Very good value for money.More
