Atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Good place to go for good food and conversation. I had a salad, tomato soup, and pasta. All of it is very good.

Paulie's is one of my favorite hidden gems in the Montrose area. It's a quaint little Italian restaurant joint with great food! There Chicken Piccata is amazing and they always have the cutest iced cookies.

Visiting Houston for the first time since we lived there in the 90's. I was curious to see how the Montrose/Westheimer neighborhood has fared since then. It seems to have grown up nicely while still retaining it's quirky charm that Houston so desperately needs. We Yelped lunch places in the area and this one was in the top five. You... More

Not only are these iced cookies gorgeous, but they are the most delicious ones anywhere. At $3 each, you expect it to be perfect and this is about as close as it gets. Every cookie should be a party/celebration in itself like Paulie's cookies!

We have the menu memorized! Spinach salad, Chicken Piccata or Veal Chop, followed by Key Lime Tart. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

This is a great little place. Food is wonderful. BUT, the sweets counter is unbelievable. And oh, the decorated cookies

They put a nice char on the chicken and chops. The wines on their list are great finds from around the world and are fairly priced. Happy hour offers ½ priced glasses on open bottles and a red and a white bottle at half price. Order at the counter and take a beeper to your table. Study the menu before... More

No fresh fettuccine... so so restaurant. Fresh spaghetti and fresh rigatoni are good. I asked similar fettuccine noddle, but they said they don't have it.

We enjoyed fabulous panini's and a pizza at lunch. Take advantage of the lunch special - half a panini and a salad are ample for lunch and delicious. The pizza's do take a bit longer, but the fresh tasting sauce and quality toppings are worth the wait. Can't wait to try a pasta dish here. Definitely going back. Counter staff... More

The atmosphere and the service is good, however the food leaves a lot to be desired. The food preparation is wildly inconsistent. I have been there 4 times ( and that will be all i think ). One time having pasta so spicy i couldn't eat it, and one time where the pasta for both myself and my wife was... More
