Mostly made from scratch Lebanese street food with few hole cooked dishes. Because it is mostly made in house, the taste and quality will vary from day to day, depends on many factors like who made it that day. Sometime it is the best shawarma...ever and sometime it is ok. It never bad. Highly recommend the mujaddarh with youghurt sauce, Kibbe. Tabbouleh is the best in houston and shawarma is usually good I do not recommend any sweets, they are not made fresh and not authentic, hummus is not good at all by Lebanese standards Last by bot least the bread , phonecia and abdullah bakery are the only places to get authentic Lebanese pita and you can always buy a bunch from Arpi to take home or they will deliverMore
This location offered a great steak dinner special in the bar the night we arrived, a quick, reasonably priced beverage pick up, breakfast specials each day, dinner specials in the deli for a late dinner, a great salad bar for lunch and desserts in the...bakery for your sweet tooth.More
Self service plenty of food to choose from.Very clean and fresh food. The deserts are to die for. Price is mid range but worth it.
We went to the Phoenicia Grocery and were amazed at the diverse selection there. Then we stopped by the Deli for a late lunch. I got the Chicken Shawarma which was dry and kind of flavorless. My husband got the Beef Shawarma which was much...more flavorful. We also ordered a few sides - grape leaves (my husband enjoyed these) and lentils plus a spinach and cheese pie (both were nothing special).More
I have been eating here since Arpi's first opened in the strip mall across the street from their present location. I have never been disappointed by any meal I have had here, and anyone I've ever brought here has been immediately hooked. Way better than...Fadi's. Go and enjoy. Lunch for 2 with a hummus and drink $20More
We have been here way too many times to count. Our kids love it and we come for chicken shawarma wraps at least 2-3 times a month. I can honestly say sometimes the wrap is better than others. But when it’s good, it’s really good!...Not sure why it doesn’t always taste the same. Maybe it’s the person preparing it, maybe it’s the time of day, nevertheless we continue to eat here because we’ve never found another we like better. It’s worth the 30 minute drive! The gelato and baklava are also delicious!More
They truly have the best Shawarmas of all types, chicken, beef, and lamb. The place is clean. The food is fantastic. The price is on the high side. Their customer service is not that great. They are dry and unpleasant to deal with. I still...have them a five star rating because their Shawarmas are top!!!More
Prompt and efficient service. and good food. Don't forget to grab Gelato or special coffee after the meal.
Went for a quick bite to eat while visiting Texas and after being recommended to me and i liked it, Prices are also affordable and wait time was minimal.
Wife & I were out of time. Neither had breakfast and it was after lunch. He had an appointment to go to and I was going too kill a few hours. So this was just a location close to her appointment and a long time...on the list places to stop but never got around. We had many veggies and the beef and chicken. To me everything but the beef was better than every place we usually go. To her everything was better than other places with this type of food. The only complaint I have was the bench booths we sat in hurt my back a lot. They had several other types of tabes and chairs but we didn't move. We had confusion in the order because their English to whom we spoke was too broken. Other than this nothing to complain about meal wise. We will be cutting out one of our regular stops in favor of this place for sure.More
The specialty here is shawarma. I enjoy the lamb and my wife the beef. Good selections of freshly made salad and side dishes, including some unusual ones which happen to be our favorites like calamari salad and fried smelts. It also offers a coffee and...gelato bar, and surprisingly French pastries besides Middle East sweets. Counter service manned by friendly stuff. And yes, this is the only Mediterranean eatery I know which serves wine and beer. A big plus for me.More
I am grateful for this place, I used to go when they were in a small restaurant by a bycicle store, you can still find Mrs. Arpi Tcholakian behind the counter checking that everything is good and tasty. I usually order chicken Shawarma , Humus,...Athenian pasta salad, lentil pilaf, roasted cauliflower, Lamb shank slow roasted, all delicious!!. If you have time visit the Market that is around the corner for the restaurant , you will find things and products from around the world. I can find my soda and sweets from Peru!!!.More
This restaurant started out as a little hole-in-the-wall deli, albeit a very nice one! The delicious food sustained the business for decades, and ultimately they moved across Westheimer and opened a large restaurant that they still call a deli. The place seems huge compared to...the original location, and while it is casual, the atmosphere feels almost upscale. The seating is comfortable and the place is well-lit with huge windows. The ordering of the food is almost cafeteria-style, but it's all made right there and is as fresh as it gets. I'd very highly recommend the chicken shawarma and baba ganoush. The portions are generous and the self-serve pita bread is unlimited. The prices are completely in line with such fantastic food. I'd recommend it for couples on a night out, lunch with friends, weekends with family, solo when you want a treat, and even for business lunches.More
Really awesome first time experience here. I rarely give 5 stars unless I really dig the place. I had a Lamb Shawarma and a small Greek salad. Did not disappoint! The lamb was ground fresh full of herbs and spices... and the garlic sauce they...homemake - magnificent! I only wish I ordered some of their delicious looking fries! Definitely a great spot to grab a quick, healthy-ish bite to eat!!More
