We picked up soup dumplings, pan fried baos, and stewed beef. It was delicious! Everything was very yummy.

Came for lunch at 12:30 on a Friday. It is a small place and we took the last available table. After that, a few people came and there was a short wait. We ordered: Xiao Long Bao (Soupy Dumplings) - $6.99 Crispy Bottom Pork Bao - $7.99 Braised Pork Belly - $11.99 Cabbage Rice Cake - $8.99 Ma Po Tofu (Lunch Portion) - $5.99 Shanghai Style Noodle - $7.99 The 1st three are their signature dishes and they were good. But the rest were not that great. Some people compare the Xiao Long Bao to Din Tai Fung but I would not go that far. Service is OK - they were rushing us to order because the rest of our party had not shown up. However, you shouldn't expect much from restaurants in Chinatown for service so that did not really bother us. We care more for the food than the service. If I were to return, I would only eat the first 3 items on this list.

Quality has gone down and flies in the restaurant. The staff is always changing???? We sat down to eat, they took our order and rushed us to pay and started putting the chairs on the tables while they still had 4 tables eating dinner. Then the staff had the nerve to ask me for more tip. Will not be going back!

What a surprise. Tiny place and hard to find among all the other shops in the plaza. An order of soup dumplings is an easy one person appetizer. Enjoyed my Kung Pao, too. Warm enough for you to know you’ve had something.

Just what I was looking for in xiao long bao. Service was a little off - we shared our table with another couple (she spoke Chinese), and they forgot my order. Excellent soup dumplings, but I might like the crispy bottom dumplings a little better! Yellow croaker with tofu is good if you like tofu.

This is probably my 5th time eating here and I feel their quality of food is going down. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but not great. The skin on the soup dumplings are 'thicker' than when they first opened. There's quite a lot of soup inside as you can tell the dumplings are quite 'fat'. I also used to like their red bean pancake but it was quite burned today. Anyhow, until Houston has another better place for soup dumplings, I'll see come here when there's a craving. There's only one person as hostess/waitress/cashier, so service can be slow during lunch time.

The food is outstanding...the soup dumplings are a must have. We also liked the pork belly, wontons, and duck. The service is very good, but they are busy. The establishment is very small with only 9 tables. We've tried coming multiple times before and the wait was just too long. This time, we arrived 7 minutes after opening and there were only 3 tables left...there was a line 10 minutes later. So get there early! The parking lot is also crowded.

Came here again! You just crave great food. Ignorance is not a bliss. When you enjoy great food, that is bliss. This place was awesome enough for us to drag others here. But delicate, don't drag too many people or else, they'll be to busy to serve you. XLB were good, pork amazing, and the green onion pancake didn't disappoint. Get those things, and you're set!

This is place has a few exceptional dishes. Worth the drive, wait, price, whatever it may be. We didn't try the whole menu, but many times, they have a specialty, and that is the Braised Pork Belly. Many people talk about their Xiao Long Bao, they're good, but not great. Like one reviewer who has traveled for food, he knows. We also have traveled around for food and tried many different places. So here is the review that you need, must read. Forget the rest. First of all, it is a small place, maybe 10-15 tables. It is located in a small strip mall area. Free parking. Walk inside, and it is not dingy, nor a hole in the wall per se. It is renovated and does not look worn down. The outside does not reflect the inside. We went @ 11 am, right when they opened, and there were already quite a few tables inside already. We get some nice service, positive, and friendly. Ordered 1 set of the XLB, pork belly, and the green onion pancake. The pancake was a good starter, getting the stomach warmed up. It is nice and crispy. It is in the shape of a spiral to create more areas touching the oil, therefore more crisp. Next came out some rice for the pork belly (much needed). Then the pork belly and XLB came out almost the same time. The pork belly was so tender - now imagine this - that if you picked it in the middle, or too far on one end, it would fall apart. It was that tender. The XLB nice and hot, not warm like others. Good skin, a lot of soup, decent amount of meat. A bit on the bland side. Skin didn't break, but, not the best, nor the worst. Wouldn't order it, or waste stomach space for it. But that pork belly, we would come back just for that. Then we had the rice cake with cabbage. It is ok. Nothing good, would not order it again. Finally, the bill, and the cost. It was about $40 between wife and me, having 4 dishes. It ranged from 8.99 to 12.99. I think the 12.99 was the rice cake dish. We packed our leftovers and headed on over to Don Cafe. Check out my review on that place too! Final verdict: We would definitely come here again. If anything, just for that pork belly dish, and another new one.

This is a hole in wall place with only a few tables. Get there by 11 am on sat and sunday. This is an authentic Chinese place with a small menu. Order the soup dumplings. We had the pork and the shrimp. They were like wonton soup completely contained in a dumpling. The broth was tasty as was the dumpling covering as well as as the filling. Heaven! We also had an onion flat bread type of thing. I could eat those for days and days as well. Great place!
