We were staying at the Hotel next to it and decided to try it out. It was a Tuesday and it was very slow...... we had little expectations....... Order their dinner bento and then the food came....... Huge salad, huge bowl of delicious soup and a massive bento box...... The food was hot and delicious, nice crispy shrimp and delicious raw shushi...... We would try it again and maybe share the dinner...... It was massive and it was delicious...... GO

My daughter loves Japanese/Chinese foods so we decided to try Ichibon for her 15th birthday. Well, let me just tell you that we really enjoyed the entertainment the cooks presented as they prepared our food in front of us. The staff was polite and profession. The restaurant was clean and so was the bathroom. We will definitely be back!

The waitress was great. The food was fresh and delicious. Quiet atmosphere with clean dishes. Only one issue was the plastic drinking glasses were old cracked and cloudy, I only had to ask for real glass from the bar and the waitress brought back a crystal clear glass no problem.

We ordered 2 sushi rolls and 2 salads at the bar. The rolls came while eating the salads. I set my salad to the side and while chatting with my friend, I turned around and the salad was gone. I never asked the girl to take it. It barely ate out of, and the bar server just came and took it without even asking if I was done with it. Also it was hot in the restaurant as the a/c was not working.

First visit to this place was nice. Quick seating from hostess. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Hibachi chef was excellent, did the typical show you get everywhere but was friendly and kept conversation going. Food was just okay, I wasn’t disappointed but not in awe. Pricing was typical, drink menu was the only thing that stood out as they had a great selection of beers, liquor and wine list.

We liked the food and ambiance of this property--service a was a little lacking, but acceptable. They need some training on social skills and question answering--for newbies, the menue is large and a bit complex. Smiling would be a nice touch!
If you like fried food and lots of it, the beto box is going to been your best choice. The portions are huge--everyone had take home boxes! Our grand kids are going to love this place. We need to try the hibachi steaks presentation with them. That half of the restaurant is much larger than the lunch side.
They also serve a big number is sushi items. We had a couple, and they were good. Many people make that the main course. For lunch, the crowd was good and all seemed pleased.
The outside curb appeal needs some refreshing--the building looks old, but there is ample parking.

Amidst all the stresses of today, THIS lunch bento box was the BEST lunch ever! #4 came with soup - superb miso soup!!! salad - traditional dressing and crunchies packaged separately did not disappoint! RICE - fried, not salty, not greasy, just TASTY; crab puff - the BEST in the area; two little sushi -- YUMMY! AND the tempura....yummy, not as crunchy as hoped, but I know it is hard to package... BUT SO SO worth it!! SO Sad your Kemah location closed.... PLEASE do not close ever!!

We go 1-2 times a month! Kids (7&9) both love it and eat very well! So many more choices than benihana and no drive into the city. Wait staff is friendly and the sushi is always fresh!

Four phone calls for 1 take out order. I kept being put on hold. 30 min of phone wait time, made order in 15 minutes. I said thank you at end of order, they hung up.

I’ve been to quite a few hibachi type restaurants before and wanted to try this one as it had good reviews.
Food was ok. Nothing special. Pre-meal salad was one of the better ones I’ve had.
As you know, in these types of restaurants, the entertainment part is almost as important as the meal itself. We got a guy that said he was new. We could tell. He wasn’t funny as all, did not speak where we could hear or understand him and kept spilling the food.
Service - we came really early and so there were only 4 families in the place and about 6 servers. We had to ask our cook to get the attention of the waitresses to get refills on the drinks every time. They were all hanging out together near the bar and not paying attention to us.
Food taste - nothing special. Like I say, the salad was the only thing better than other places.
We likely won’t go back as there are better hibachi places closer to home.

I ate here with my wife and a friend and enjoyed myself. We did the hibachi and sat with strangers, but it was fine. The chef does a few comical things to entertain you, which little kids will love. The food was really good, so I was happy with my dining experience. The wait staff is attentive, so I wasn't ever in need of anything.
