This place was dead. Probably because they do not have a happy hour food menu. No one wants to come in at happy hour for some drinks and a couple of bites and have to get a full meal $10 and up. I had one...drink $6 and I was outta there.More
This is a self serve casual dining restaurant. We visited for lunch with our granddaughter.Ordering was pleasant and efficient. We were given a buzzer which activated within about ten minutes of ordering. We ordered kids meal chicken strips with white rice and Fried chicken with...mashed potatoes and veggies. Dessert was bread pudding. Portions.were more than ample and food was excellent, especially the homemade gravy sauce for the chicken. Would definitely return.More
Usually my wife and I order the seafood platter to split. This time, once again, we ordered the seafood platter. And I ordered the fried alligator appetizer. I haven't had alligator in years. Basically it's fried pieces of alligator, similar to fried crawfish in size....Well seasoned. I would order again. The platter as always was plentiful and delicious.More
I had both the Fish Bienville and Stuffed Fish and I thought both were excellent. The portions were generous and the sauces were rich and really tasty with lots of shrimp and crawfish. A ate at the bar both times because I was alone. One...time the service was great, the second time (different person) was mediocre but I really enjoyed the food. I will definitely go back.More
Went to Boudreaux’s with a business associate. When we arrived we looked at the menu and he made some suggestions, but highly recommended the Orleans which is Pecan crusted fish topped with shrimp, crawfish, mushroom and spinach in a cream sauce with dirty rice.
You...place your order at the counter and they give you a “buzzer” that lets you know when your order is ready. When it’s ready you go get it and bring it back to your table.
The portions were good sized and the food was temperature hot. The mushroom and spinach in cream sauce added a great deal and I would have liked just a little more. The fish was done well and the crust added just enough crunch.
Boudreaux’s is not a white table cloth place, but the food was really good. They bill themselves as a Cajun Kitchen serving Cancun Comfort Cuisine. There menu has all sorts of Cajun delights from shrimp and grits to gumbo, PoBoys, catfish, Étouffée and Jambalaya.
They do serve alcohol and they do have TV’s placed all around the restaurant. Like I mentioned it is not a fancy place, but the food I had was very good. I will go back when I come back to Houston.More
Was excited all day to go out to eat then was very disappointed when I got to Boudreaux's and told WE NO LONGER SERVE OYSTERS. So my taste buds were disappointed, my pocket book was disappointed AND who wants carrots in with there broccoli (a...cheap filler that few people like). I will not be returning to Boudreaux's!!!!!More
Never have gone to Boudreaux before, today was my first day actually going after hearing about their drink specials. I decided to take my family to get drinks and spend time together. The restaurant closed at 10:00 according to an employee, 10:30 we were in...the middle of our drink trying to finish it when a worker approached our table and told us it was time to get out in the most rude manner I have ever been approached in at a restaurant. I have been a waiter before, I know how the restaurant industry works. I know everyone wants to leave as soon as possible and clock out. I was so embarrassed taking my family to a restaurant for the first time and being talked to in the manner that I was. 10 minutes after he told us it was time to get out, he approaches the table again and repeats to us it’s time to get out bc he has to leave. This is a different kind of humiliation. We grab our stuff and I walk up to him & ask for his name, he tells me his name is Timothy Callemarco, I say thank you and walk off. I enjoyed the food, delicious drinks. But I promise to NEVER return back. Did he give me his real name? No clue but I’m sure I will remember that face.More
Boudreaux's has an incredible Pecan crusted chicken salad that I love!! They have numerous other options that are tasty!! The staff is very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this restaurant for business lunches or dinners.
