Outstanding flavor and quality in a fun atmosphere. Try their three-course lunch menu. Its also quiet so you can hear the conversation at your table very well! I like to start with the Artisan’s salad, followed by the petite filet with peppercorns (Yumm), and chocolate...mousse. All perfectly prepared and just the right portions...save room for a piece of crusty bread with French butter! Chef enjoys food people and knows there is no point to food without people! You’ll love this place. Ask to meet the Chef to enrich your experience! They have extended Houston’s restaurant week menu until Sept 29. Enjoy! Gregory does a great job managing the front of the house and is always welcoming.More

We went to Artisan’s for my birthday. The chef, Jacques Fox, is a long time friend. Even back in the 1990’s, I would include myself in any meal he was preparing when he was the Executive Chef at the hotel and restaurant management program at...the University of Houston. This was our first indoor restaurant visit during the pandemic, and it was fantastic! We each did the 6-course meal and it was worth every penny (and much more). DELICIOUS! Our server, Karla, was outstanding and followed all the pandemic protocols for restaurants. They had a two-piece band and Jacques even joined in to sing happy birthday to me in French. The perfect birthday evening. Thank you Jacques and Karla.More

Artisans prepared the most delicious and amazing takeout dinner for two of us last night including a bottle of wine! Everything was meticulously prepared and easy to put together for an at-home gourmet meal. We decided that a meal this special deserved sitting at the...dining table, so we pulled out the real china and silverware. We started with a Caesar salad with warm French bread and butter, accompanied by a lovely red Bordeaux wine... followed by hearty and tender Beef Bourgogne over buttered fettuccine with French green beans and Brussels sprouts on the side. We finished with bread pudding and whiskey sauce. Please support this outstanding restaurant, especially during these uncertain times, and take home an amazing meal!More

Crazy amazing food! Highly recommend for Seafood and French Cuisine. We had escargot, and pistachio crusted Chilean seabass. Fantastic! Marcos, our server, genuinely delightful! Will recommend Artisans to all foodies❣️

Let me start by saying that this was at the top of my list of restaurants to visit in Houston. Did I get to visit and check it off my list of Houston restaurants? Yes. Do I wish I had gone to another restaurant? Yes....While the presentation of each plate was beautiful, some of the items my husband and I ate were lacking in quality. I ordered the ribeye and it was overcooked as well as fatty. The lobster bisque tasted like liquid butter, and the desserts were just so so. The escargot was very good. It took us over 2 1/2 hours to be served and finish our meal, and the restaurant was by no means busy. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but if you're marketing your restaurant as high end with high prices, the food needs to be perfect. I felt like the entire meal for my husband and I was one plate of mediocre food after another. The womens bathroom need to be updated to reflect the elegant atmosphere of the restaurant.More

Congratulations, Chef Jacques , for creating a wonderful dining experience. Your food is always something to look forward to. I love the Artisan’s salad with the sugary bacon and the filet of beef with the green peppercorn sauce.... c’est tres bonne! The chocolate mousse is...another favorite of mine. You have amazing food, but somehow manage to visit with guests and we can tell you are widely loved. You have a beautiful and very inviting , comfortable ambience. I can’t wait to bring my grandson to your cooking class!!! See you soon, but not soon enough! Well done !!!!!More

We came in from out of town and it happened to be on our anniversary. We decided to celebrate it here and we are glad we did! We chose to do the tasting menu and sat at the chef's table which oversaw the food preparation...for the restaurant. The staff was extremely pleasant from the reservations, arrival, during our meal and beyond. We are used to tasting menus in NYC so the prices were incredible at $85 per person for 6 courses. We added the wine pairings as well. At all tasting menu meals, you have to be willing to leave food on your plate in order to get to the last course. I have to admit, that was the hardest part about our evening, I wanted to finish everything. We were there on a Friday night and there was a french jazz singer and guitarist playing setting a fantastic mood. We will definitely be back when we return to Houston!More

Yes, but they have limited vegan options. Their house salad has a lovely vinaigrette and they offer delicious vegetable sides but their mains are primarily seafood or beef entrees.
