I'm a native Houstonian and am familiar with many of my city's fabulous restaurants. Seco's is easily in my handful of top choices. So many fabulous dishes on the menu from the corn enchiladas to the pollo Lilly to my go-to favorite, the redfish chimichuri. The bread pudding is to fie for and is the standard by which we measure all other bread puddings (so far, none have compared). The margaritas are also great as is the service and family home environment. I highly recommend Seco's. They will not disappoint.

Great service, delicious food and dessert. We were a party of 9 and had a variety of dishes. Highly recommend. Try the Ranch Water!

Great empanadas and pupusas. Margaritas are good as well. There’s a nod to TexMex but many dishes are traditional. Great family owned place!

Four of us went Thursday night and were pleasantly surprised... Very good food,,,
The fried Bananas were a hit along with the Shrimp soup that I wasnt sure to order.. They do have a large selection of items and you wont believe the price of wine...$ 7.00 a glass and big glass,, We had a waitress named Mary and she made the evening fun.. Young and funny...

Had a great brunch today. Great service, reasonably priced. Very underrated place. We eat here often and I highly recommend. Seco was the chef at Jalapeño’s on Kirby

The place is kind of hidden, close to West U. I tried Tacos al Carbon. They were good. I really appreciate charcoal cooked meat in my tacos. I got one beef and one chicken. The dish included guac, pico and rice. Complementary chips and salsa. Good enough for an informal dinner/lunch. Cheap prices.

The corn and cheese enchiladas were the best I have had in Houston. Salsa was outstanding. Very friendly and efficient staff. Very child friendly.

Had a really good experience here. Great food and cold beer. Had a mexican dish and it was very tastey.
Friends eat here a lot and are always happy with it. I would come back again and recommend to others.

What a delicious surprise. I have lived here for about 20 years and for some reason although we go out every day to eat somewhere around here, I have missed this restaurant but it came up when I was searching for something in our area that was different. We walked only three blocks and had a great lunch here. I had delicious plantains, a chicken tamale, and a beef empanada. My partner had shrimp and sausage fajitas. This place was very homey and the food was great. Additionally, it was priced very low and was a welcome change from more traditional chain food restaurants. If you like Latin food you cannot go wrong here.

I realise it's good caring for animals but not while you are eating. I saw a huge, fat rat run past my table while eating. It went towards the kitchen. Upon looking closely, I saw rat droppings in the floor, everywhere. We walked up and left. The dining area was extremely dirty & the exteriors seemed as if they had not been maintained for years.

After a morning of training, my colleague and I decided to go to Seco's for lunch based on the recommendation of a local staff person. At first glance, the menu looked to be a bit pricey for a "taquerĂa." Well, that correct, because it isn't one. It's a beautiful old home converted into a cozy dining experience. My friend had spinach enchiladas and I had a taco salad. Both were fantastic. We were very pleased with our attentive waiter, Paulo, who was easy to get along with, especially considering that we both have special menu needs. It wasn't crowded on a Friday afternoon, but I bet by evening and on the weekend it fills up fast. The were voted "Best Brunch" which they serve on weekends, so unfortunately we did not get to experience that. Next time I go to Houston, though, I will definitely make and effort to try. I suggest you do, too!

I visited this location for lunch with two colleagues today, and we all enjoyed the taco salad, which was delicious with the cilantro dressing. Their salsa is also excellent. The only issue is the parking situation. Only one spot in front and then some parallel spots, but that is about par for the area. Would come back.

This is not your traditional Mexican restaurant. Chef Seco, yes, Virginia, there is a Chef Seco offers an overwhelming number of entrees. Traditional Tex-Mex dishes but a wide range of other delights. The restaurant is small and intimate but that does not constrain the menu.

I've been going to Seco's for years. Very good food, an extensive menu, quick service and reasonable prices make it a favorite of locals in the know. I haven't had a bad dish, but keep going back to my usual: corn and spinach enchiladas, and the peppery sauteed calamari.
