Food is pretty good, changing menu with unordinary combinations. The service is ok but often comes with some attitude.

Loved the Heights. Drove right to the restaurant. Met my business guest. We talked a while and were continually interrupted by the waitress. Finally we ordered and we both got the pork chop. When it came, it was tasty but very small. The chop and...More

Ok being well situated and with quirky decor but sadly a big feature of the atmosphere was the loud and constant hum from the ventilation system - could feel as well as hear it. Not a very large selection on the menu and disappointed to...More

I went with 2 friends for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was my first time there. I really liked the feel of the place. Our server was excellent. I got the Kimchi burger and it was very good. The strange thing was 2 of...More

We have been to Down House a few times for brunch. We always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Service needs a little improvement but overall a great place to eat. I really enjoy their cinnamon late, breakfast tacos and chicken/waffles! We had our wedding rehearsal...More

One of my favourite places for brunch. I usually get the breakfast tacos though they aren't as good as they used to be.

Ever stop at a place to eat because it looked kind of cool from the outside and then when you got in you panicked because maybe the food would not live up but then came away saying - that was great! I dont know why...More

They actually have alcoholic coffee drinks. If I wasn't applying for jobs I would definitely be drinking right now. I would say come between 3-5 to take advantage of discount drinks and snacks. Really nice place to hold a party or going away . I...More

Brunch and bar service are amazing. They can really knock your socks off with some of their unique ways of making eggs. I love the atmosphere and how cozy this near 19th restaurant feels. For dinner I would pass on the food just because it...More

The idea of challenging the status quo manifested itself early with a few questions: Who says that restaurants have to have bad coffee? Who says that bars have to have bad food? Who says that coffee shops can't have great food or alcohol? It would be the mission of DH to serve professionally executed specialty coffee, a chef-driven menu, and a quality focused craft bar. We enthusiastically live our values of community, quality, hospitality, education, and fun every day.
