On a previous visit my husband and I had the orange beef and thai coconut dishes. Both of those were delectable and service was good so we decided to come back for more. This trip, the hostess was HORRIBLE as she "greeted" us and her demeanor increased to indifferent as she sat us. As I watched her throughout our meal,... More

We eat at Akashi at least once a month. They have a great selection of sushi rolls. The atmosphere is good, it kind of has a "sports bar" feel. We always sit at the sushi bar. Best sushi in Kingwood that we have tried.

This was a god find. I had yo ho up the Houston airport recently, so I tol a detour of Hi Way 59. This is in a small strip mall, on the end. I had the salmon teriyaki which was fresh and cooked just the way it should be. Service and prices were in line with the quality of the... More

Red dragon roll, warm sake. Beautiful presentation. If friends don't like traditional sushi, there's something on the fusion menu for everyone. Don't be afraid to try Chinese food- it is excellent also. Atmosphere is stylish and quiet, service is excellent. Short lunch? Cheap wonton soup (if you add warm sake you won't be sorry). Favorites: Waikiki Mango, Northpark, and Happy... More

To be honest I did not like sushi until this place opened in Kingwood. We now frequent this place at least 2-3 times per month. All of their rolls are fresh and tasty make sure you try the Black Pepper tuna.

Good fresh Sushi. Try their flash fried jalapeños stuffed with seafood, very spicy! Good beer selection, decent wine and saki list. I've been in there 5 times and have always enjoyed it.

This restaurant, as others have said, was great when it was first opened but since it has slowly declined and I personally have not been back. They have been reported twice on the local news with SLIME in their ICE MACHINE. I have heard the owners are not friendly from a family member who used to work there. If this... More

Quality of food has steadily deteriorated since opening. Sushi chef does not even know how to roll sushi...looks like a child made it. Last week I ordered California Rolls (simple sushi); they tasted off; sour. I asked waitress to please take them back; the manager came over and was very rude. She told me that's what sushi rice tasted like... More

I ate here with my family for lunch. I love sushi and I was excited to try the Spicy Louisiana roll; it doesn't dissappoint. The service was good, I was disappointed that they would not do any substitutions to the menu combos. All in all, not bad.

This is a very trendy, almost elegant restaurant hidden in a strip center. From the outside you'd almost miss it by the Subway and the Driving School, but once inside, you'd think you were on Westheimer. Stop in, you'll enjoy.
