During a recent 1-night staycation my wife & I had multiple occasions to dine at Terrace 54 Bar + Table. Whether it was poolside appetizers, dinner, or breakfast the following morning we loved every single dish we had. I am really impressed with the food & beverage program that our brand new Westin Medical Center has and am pleased it's only a couple of minutes away from our home because we certainly plan on returning often, even if it's just for a meal and some drinks. High quality food, elegant presentations, and perfectly-executed classics like meatballs, pizzas, and sandwiches, all of these things and more easily yield a lovely dining experience. The staff is friendly as well and the ambiance is sure to please everyone.

Cedrick and Dulce took great care of us during our lunch visit - Cedrick was very attentive and is a great communicator as he explained the menu items. We had the hummus which was very delicious with the warm pita bread- the shrimp cocktail was okay - the shrimp we overcooked. The sandwiches and wedge salad was really tasty. The vibe here is nice and relaxing

Cedrick was our waiter and from minute one, he was extremely friendly, professional and very attentive. I felt valued as a customer and he made sure our food came out just the way we expected. Outstanding job Cedrick.

This is, hands down, the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant in my life. First I received an over cooked filet, which in and of itself isn’t a big thing as it’s easy to replace, most of the time. Our server, Rui, did what was appropriate and took it back. Apparently, however, they ran out of fillet and the manager was supposed to come out and discuss. I’ve not been at a restaurant that took 25 minutes to determine and communicate this. In the mean time my dinner partner had finished her food. This itself isn’t acceptable and most restaurants handle this much better. Our server returned and apologized indicating the manager was “pissed off at something” and wouldn’t be coming by. He indicated that another selection had been made for me, which I had zero input on. He offered to comp my drink, which is less than expected. I asked for the manager, the server returned and said “she doesn’t want to talk to us”, direct quote. At this point I became upset and indicated that I didn’t want to pay the bill given the issues and experience. While the server did comp the bill, the manager still “refused to see us”, direct quote. Upon complaining to the hotel desk manager, the restaurant manager, finally come out. She gave a perfunctory apology, which came across as insincere, and indicated she was dealing with an stain issue with another customer. We’d been at the restaurant for over an hour without ever having seen her on the floor. Regardless even 45 minutes, which is how long we sat there from returning the fillet to before getting up, is more than it takes to apologize and arrange for dry cleaning. Her statement comes across as disingenuous as there was ample time to resolve a stain related issue and come out to provide any of the expected conversations. There is no viable excuse for this behavior with a customer; no one should ever be told that a manager doesn’t want to or refuses to see us. My family and I are platinum Bonvoy members and this the polar opposite of the experience we’ve come to expect. I’ve provided recommendations on online platforms detailing this experience and recommended customers to pick a different restaurant. Hotel leadership needs to engage to determine and resolve the issues that precipitated our experience is not what they want their customers to experience. Our dinner took place on Monday, October 3rd, 2022 at Terrace 54 within the Westin Houston Medical Center.

We planned to have a breakfast with our friends, but we didn’t get our breakfast at all. We came at 10.00, we had one child and one deep pregnant woman! We ordered our breakfast, but during one hour we just got coffees, nothing else. Our waiter ignored us, looked like a discrimination! We asked other waiter at 11.00, he told that kitchen is overloaded. But other guests (all of them) which came later, already got their breakfast, looks strange, right?! We escalated this to Managers at 11.20 we detailed explain the case and highlighted that our cute girl and pregnant woman is hungry, but nothing!!! So we decided to leave this place immediately and get our breakfast in another place. Manager catch up and told us ‘I’m pushing the kitchen’. Is this case just to push the kitchen?! We left the worst place ever. So, finally we were very hungry and spent $60k for parking (4 cars *4). Nobody hasn’t called back and fixed case!!!

I am a lifetime Platinum Member with Marriot and I've seen my share of experiences. Francesca was fantastic. She was servicing many tables, and the restaurant was in the middle of the breakfast rush. Obviously, things were moving slower than we may have liked, but it was understandable in light of the demand. Francesca was polite, communicative, apologetic, and simply a joy to interact with as our food was prepared. The food was prepared well, and she is a big reason we were pleased with the experience despite the delay. More places should learn that customers don't expect a flawless experience every time, but attitude and professionalism are tremendously influential. Thank you, Francesca!

Service from Ebony was very friendly though I would have liked a drinks menu and for her to take away the empty starter plates when the main course arrived. The main problems were there was no cold beer on tap and the main course was brought almost immediately after the starter. I had to drink a bottled beer and send the main course back to the kitchen while we ate our starter. Cauliflower starter and Southwestern salad were good, but the “Oscar” beef dish was grossly overpriced (US$62) and did not meet neither the menu description nor my expectations. (Strange that this dish is not on the online menu. Might be best to take it off the printed one.)

Rui is the greatest waiter ever! Very pleasant and attentive. The hotel rated really high with us! In town for our daughter’s graduation and management brought her a brownie, homemade vanilla ice cream, and a congratulatory card via room service. Very well organized hotel. Top rating!

Great experience at the bar. Very accommodating staff. The fiesta bowl was on and they changed the channel upon request, so we could watch it. Cedrick, our bartender, was by far the best. Made great cocktails and so nice and personable. Ask him about a cucumber dirty martini - you won’t be disappointed!

I traveled with a friend to visit a friend receiving treatment at the hospital. We had 45-50 minutes to eat before returning to the ICU. The service was ridiculously slow, the waiter Phil/Paul would take orders not turn them in before going to every table. I had to get to go boxes because when food arrived we had 15 minutes to get back to the hospital. After receiving the bill, the waiter continued to ignore the urgency of the situation, worst service I have had experienced. The food once eaten in our hotel room was great but would never return due to the server who was more interested in sauntering around the room instead of actually serving clients.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here! I have eaten here twice in 2 days and both times I have been nothing but pleased. The food is excellent and the staff is on another level! Today my server was Cedric who made my day with his charm, anticipation of my every need, and his winning smile. Cedric is the epitome of what the hospitality industry strives to be and I hope those for whom he works recognize the value he brings to this establishment and show their appreciation in return!

I went with my family for breakfast and they offered a variety of breakfast options including for kids. The traditional breakfast was great! The potatoes were delicious. The service was A+! Our waiter, Cedric, gave excellent service. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable - Excellent service.

The food here is average. They are living off their location. Very limited choices and what they have is quite standard. When offering soup for example, there is not bread to go with it- just commercially wrapped crackers (boring). Moreover the soup tastes like right out of the can Campbells. Better off going downstairs to Chipotle on the street. Drink choices are quite Limited and really little to no dessert choices. Go elsewhere. Better yet - do not stay here!

This is the hotel bar and restaurant inside the Westin. It's a huge space on the other side of the front desk and includes an outdoor terrace in warmer weather. There is no hostess; you seat yourself even though it says wait to be seated. No bread served. The menu has something for everyone, which you expect at a hotel. The wine list is outrageous for the quality. Fake champagne J Roget that sells for like $5 a bottle priced at $48 a bottle. Are you kidding me? Outrageous. If you're stuck at the hotel, the food is fine. But for the price, you can do better. Just go to Capital Grille if you want a steak.

The registration desk and Annette were accommodating and friendly. Had dinner there and Ebony assisted me with my dietary restrictions, she gathered dishware and instructed me on the use of the microwave. She went above & beyond! She and the entire Westin staff were friendly, customer aware and gracious. I will definitely stay here again !
