There's something for everyone here. As vegetarians we enjoyed what was on offer. The pistachio cake was superb too. We went here despite, some negative reviews here. I hope those guys can give them a second chance.

Dear foodies, it is always fun to try something new.... We have been wanting to try Ethiopian food for so long, and I know this Houston staple has been around. We loved the location, it has so much charm inside. The service is a bit...slow, but not too bad. The food made it's way fairly quickly. We started with veggie samosas, they were really good, a little different from Indian ones. Then we got quite a few items to try, since we did not know where to begin. I got the veggie platter, I really liked it, the cabbage was my favorite. We also had a lamb, and beef dish, the lamb was excellent. I would suggest it over the beef. The bread was so different from anything I have ever tried, it has the texture of a pancake, but it is not sweet. Foodies let me know your thoughts on that. The kids loved the baklava for dessert, it was really yummy. Go adventure today!More

There should be a zero star category for this place. We visited as guests of good friends on a Saturday night. Despite a mostly empty dining room, there was almost no service. Nothing on the table and no visits from waitstaff for 45 minutes or...an hour after we placed our order. When dinner eventually arrived, it was a platter with unidentifiable piles of stews. We had ordered the family dinner, supposedly more than enough for four people, but it was more the size of dinner for 2.5 people, and it cost $130. Of course, there was no waiter to tell us what was in the stews, and the "lamb" stew was in fact lamb bones with a mediocre sauce. It was flatly terrible, expensive, and took way too long.More

Absolutely amazing dinner meal. Not busy on a Sunday evening. Service was great. Food was fresh and incredibly good. Some of the best food I have ever had. Go for one of the combination meals so you can try many dishes.

Traditional Ethiopian food in a beautiful atmosphere- we asked for the vegetarian and meat combination platter which was only $40 and easily would have fed 4 or more!

This place was so good!!!! I am vegan so I got the vegetarian combo and my fiancé got the chicken combo. Let me tell you the portions are huge so honestly I think one combination meal could feed two people. Our waitress was lovely. The...incense they burn was a little overwhelming I think a cracked door or window may help with that. Other than that everything was good!!More

It was great to finally visit Blue Nile’s new location! The space is bigger including a good size bar area. We arrived after the lunch rush around 2 and a couple of tables were occupied. We started with the beef Samboosa . The pastry was...not greasy & the filling was seasoned perfectly with a spicy kick. For main, we ordered the Kitfo, Beef Tibs and Lamb Fitfit. Kitfo was excellent & mixed with just the right amount of the spiced butter. The Tibs beef was tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed the Lamb Fitfit. Sides included salad, Shiro, Messir & Ayib (Ethiopian cheese) Plenty of food for a party of five. We finished our meal with Ethiopian tea which was delicious. Service was amazing! This is the spot for Ethiopian food in Houston.More

I went here the other night with some coworkers and the meal was good. I've had better Ethiopian, but it's always a fun atmosphere to eat and share food like this. I wouldn't rush back, but I wouldn't avoid it either.

Ethiopian food can be really good and anyone interested in culinary experiences should try it. The kitchen is very distinctive, unique, and full of flavour. It is healthy as well, and nutritious. The Blue Nile restaurant is fun. It has the aroma of freshly burnt...coffee beans, blended with the delicious smells coming from the food. I have tried different Ethiopian restaurants (in Ethiopia, Europa and the US) and this one serves really good food.More

The food was exceptional and flavorful. Also, I like the herbal teas. Platter was delicious and big enough for two people, even had leftovers. I reccomend the meat combo platter for two. Fairly priced. Great service!! I would go back, again.

I'd had Ethiopian food once at a museum event and had wanted more ever since. This was excellent. Service was fantastic. Plenty of food choices and you get a lot of food. I got one dish for takeout. Turns out I also had leftovers -...so I got 4-5 meals from it all. Definitely will go back.More

Two two for a late lunch. Nicely decorated and spacious with high peaked ceilings and beams. Ethiopian food is eaten by hand using teff injera, a flat but fluffy bread made from a tiny grain. They do supply a fork but using the bread is...part of the experience. We went all veggie but they offer several meats and seafood. The traditional way is to have all the food on one big flat serving dish with the food presented on a giant piece of imjera. All eat directly from it. They do provide a small plate to each diner. Numerous smaller pieces of the bread are supplied for scooping, pinching and eating. In summary, it was all excellent, and plenty to box to take home. They have beer, wine, and spirits. We will go back for sure.More

The food was delicious and high quality. There are lunch specials. We had the vegetarian combination and the chicken tibs. Injera bread was served with each dish. The restaurant is large, clean and beautiful, with fresh flowers on the tables and thick, white cloth napkins and...white tablecloths. The ladies that run the restaurant are very helpful. There is parking on the premises.More

Wait to be seated. Seating capacity 93 Ethenic ambience. Too pricy for quantity and quality offered. $5 for one meat samosa. Meat entrees between 17 and 20 dollars. Will not go again.
