This place is for those serious about chocolate. 4 layer cakes of monstrous proportions. My family of 5 struggled to finish just one slice. It was worth every penny. They offer chocolate bon bons, ice cream, real hot chocolate, cookies, and even deep dish pecan pie. Perfect place to take a date or for an after dinner treat!

Third visit wasn't as good. My 'bodacious brownie' had quite dry and stale ends. Wife and kids had better luck with 'Strawberry cheese cake' and ' Flantastic cheese cake'. Nice and bustling atmosphere with new freshman class at Rice village.

The cakes we ate tasted pretty good except the deep dish chocolate pecan cake. It was dry in the center and I am not sure what type of crust they used. The Boston Creme pie cake and Turtle chocolate cheese cake tastes pretty good along with some of the ice cream samples. They have tons of other chocolate candies to... More

I am not a big fan of chocolate but my wife is, the only reason we go back here is for the snowberry icecream - strawberry ish icecream with chocolate chips. I would rate the snowberry icecream a 4 star and the other offerings are just average

Rows and rows of delicious chocolate, candies and ice cream. Parking was challenging (as it always is in Houston). There are tables for enjoying your treats in the A/C and for birthday parties.

Went there for a mini-getaway while in Houston with my husband shortly before the baby was born, and it was amazing! I love dark chocolate anything, and this was like a little slice of heaven for me. They have ice cream, custom-molded chocolate in shapes ranging from telephones to footballs to celebrating various occasions, like baby showers. There's also chocolate-dipped... More

I never liked this place much. I know soo many people who love it and try to take me back, but I'm always disappointed. In particular I find their chocolate ice cream to be really watery and mediocre.

Who doesn't love exotic homemade flavors of ice cream? Ice cream packed with chocolate? Nuts?Candies? Summer fruits? How about specialized coffee drinks? Dipped handmade chocolates? Extraordinary gift chocolates? Oh, how about a trip down memory lane to the penny candy store? It's all delicious and all at the Chocolate Bar in Rice Village. There are tables and booths so you... The cake and ice cream are delicious! You can sample all the flavors. Also, you should know the cake slices are huge. My favorite is the Uncle Darryl. It is chocolate cake with toffee bits and chocolate syrup.
