I had the chicken friend steak off the lunch menu and as cfs go it was good. A large nice salad went with it and french fries. My wife had a Mexican Food meal and really enloyed it. We will stop here again. ]It is easy on and off I-35 (one block off).

It didn't look like it would be impressive but they seated and served our group of 8 very quickly and the food came out pretty fast. Good salsa and chips, pleasant service, and good flavors in the food. I will make that stop again

Stopped here on our way to Corpus for a family weekend trip. Was pleasantly surprised! Quick service and the food was very good. The hot sauce was awesome! Everyone was very friendly. Will be back the next time we are through this area!

Went for lunch and their special was their enchilada dinner. Got your choice of 2 types of enchildada with beans and rice. I chose the cheese and spinach enchiladas and wasn't disappointed. I had never eaten a spinach enchilada and it was very good. Had a touch of nutmeg in the sauce, poblano cream sauce. The salsa was very good... More

It's Mexican food. It'll feed you, but don't have terribly high expectations. Service was poor as the food came out at different times in our large party. Wasn't really worth the money.

El Conquistador is a blue-ribbon restaurant, and one of our favorites for dining enjoyment. Food, service, and atmosphere all combine to make this a quality dining experience. The Gonzales family is committed to highest quality, and the staff on the floor and kitchen work together to insure satisfaction every time. We strongly recommend El Conquistador Hillsboro.

Service was just ok. Chip baskets were empty for a while and I had to ask for more. She didn't replenish the salsa. My hubby and I ordered the fajitas for two. The fajita beef tasted like roast beef. The staff were pleasant.

Really love stopping in El-Con for fajitas or burritos. The chips and salsa are always good and the staff is great. Have never had a bad experience here. They take the dining experience seriously and that says alot. Stop in and leave stuffed.

Being from NJ, I was super stoked to try tex-mex in texas. Sadly this place was a disappointment. Food was decent but came out SO fast, it has to be pre-made ahead of time or something (came out within 3 minutes of ordering; no lie!) Taste was mediocre... nothing special. Rice was very dry and bland. Margarita was practically all... More
