We had one beef eater, several fish eaters, one person who wanted gluten free. Tolbert's was able to accommodate everyone. The salmon was excellent as was the tortilla chip crusted tilapia and the fried catfish. The gluten free menu was also pretty extensive. Prices were very reasonable.

Check their website for a list of bands and what night they have live music. Food is great and when a menu item says spicy, it means very spicy.

Our food was really good having the Henderson Burger's, Frederick's Burger and the Jalapeno Soup. along with beverages. This was the 1st time I ever had Jalapeno Soup and I was impressed with it to say the least. The Guacamole was also very good. Both the soup and the guacamole are homemade. Nancy was our server and she was very... More

I have been eating my way through Texas for a week now, and this was my first disappointing stop. Chili was good, but not much else. Pricey, and just average eats. Service was pedestrian as well. Not recommended by the traveler.

If you want to know where the popular chili cook-offs started, this is the place! Not this place, but the owners of the place! Their award-winning chili will not disappoint - hot or mild - your choice. Other items on the menu are good, as well.

Ms. Lady (wife) and I were staying at The Gaylord for a convention (that's another review) and wanted to get out for a while. Walking along Main Street in Grapevine and found Tolbert's - Wow! The atmosphere was great, relics on the wall, vintage signs, hardwood floors, and an elevated stage at the back. Ordered Steak and was well pleased,... More

Came to Tolbert's after seeing it on Food Paradise show and indeed one of the best chili I've ever had. Atmosphere is very nice with live band music every evening.

Watch out for the peppers they put on almost every plate, as they can be quite hot. Good selection of Texas country and Tex-Mex dishes.

We loved the one in downtown Dallas and also enjoy Grapevine. Best chili to be had outside of a home kitchen. Very reasonably priced for a drink and casual dinner.

Rolled in here after returning from a road trip to Austin. The server was very friendly and very attentive. We ordered chicken fried steak and tenderloin with 2 sides. All the food was hot and cooked perfectly and delivered fast to our table. I would definitely come here again. Thy also have live music!

Thank Janet L
