This place is not to be missed. Dark, quiet setting, and exceptional service. The steaks are great and sides were exquisite. The waiter knew the menu and could guide us towards the best food. A great place.

This is a pretty standard high end steakhouse in the style of Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Del Frisco, Mastro's, Flemings, and The Capital Grille. Steaks and sides are priced separately. I had a bone-in filet and it was a very good steak. Probably a little below the last one I had at a Mastro's, but very good to excellent. Their side... More

I was staying at the Gaylord and otherwise would not have thought to have eaten here. I had lobster bisque, a medium rare filet, wine, and a chocolate desert. All were wonderful and it was the best steak I've had in a good while. It could also be a nice place for a night out concurrent with another activity or... More

While staying at the Gaylord, our family ate here one night. No one ordered steak. So, I'm not really sure why we chose here, but we did. My boys ordered crab cakes and shrimp cocktail from the appetizers with the corn and potato family sides as their meals. There were 2, small crab cakes and 4 shrimp (large but not... More

Pretty spot with a perfectly cooked prime rib served with a popover. Was able to do a half order of asparagus dining alone at the bar. Good wine selection. This will be the splurge meal at the Gaylord Texan, but enjoyable.

Service was great! Had the Ribeye and it was cooked just as requested and it tasted amazing! The lobster bisque is an absolute treat, with tons of lobster inside. Very nice environment, and desserts are also very good!! Congrats especially on the knowledge of the staff and great recommendations. Not the most expensive ones on the menu but a lot... More

Is that a steakhouse he has great food, great desserts, appetizers (I recommend the crabcake), all in all is excellent. However bear in mind that this is a very expensive restaurant so if you're on the budget skip this place.

First off, the staff are excellent -- very helpful, and very droll. The food itself is also good, serving a wide range of tastes (both main courses and deserts). The wine menu is capacious. As other reviewers have noted, the tariff is high, presumably due to the level of 'captive' diners who are already staying at the resort. Which makes... More

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the Old Hickory last night and it was stellar. Our first experience was Christmas a few years ago when we stayed at the hotel and we all loved it. The Cheese Course is not to be missed. Let the Formager help you choose. The Lobster Bisque is excellent and the Bread Basket has... More

Honestly, this is the new best filet mignon I have ever eaten! $42 for an 8 ounce filet, very expensive, but melted in my mouth. The ambience is exceptional. The service was excellent. $8 for demi glaze, but again, so worth it. I was even able to purchase a cigar at the bar.
