The Sportsman’s Bar & Grill is closed. The new restaurant in the Embassy Suits is Hallford’s Restaurant & Bar. As of October 13 the main dinging area was closed but the Kitchen and limited seating areas were open.
I stayed at the embassy suites and tried this place. Had high expectations but was disappointed at the lack of food selection. Would've been nice to have the option to select traditional TX BBQ. Ambience was great. So was the service.
If you can, go...into downtown Grapevine and check out other quaint dining options. Leave this one for room service.More
The staff here were great. They went out of their way to make our dining experience great. Stayed at the embassy suites and went here for dinner. really good food. really great service. would for sure come back
The Sportsman’s Club, located inside the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, is a good place for a quick meal and beverage. They serve American food with a selection that includes appetizers, pizza, burgers, and other standard pub fare.
We visited the Sportsman’s Club a couple of...times during our Embassy Suites stay and convenience was the main reason more than anything. We did find the menu selections pretty good overall, however, and it was enough to get us to return for a carry- out meal, which we took back to our suite. The nachos were a nice companion to the beer and I found the quesadillas and burgers to be well made and good, even if not anything exceptional.
The atmosphere at The Sportsman’s Club is nice and I like the soft lighting and reduced noise level. Sports bars are often very loud and raucous, but this sports bar actually leans toward the quiet side. I like how they arranged the televisions because, while there aren’t a huge number of them, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding one to view no matter where you sit.
One big letdown with The Sportsman’s Club is the beer. They have about twenty or so total selections, which isn’t too bad. But there wasn’t a single Dallas brewed beer to be found. This is surprising, as airport hotels usually try to offer a taste of the area and often provide at least one local beer. I ended up going with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, a favorite go- to, but it would have been nice to try something local.
Overall, The Sportsman’s Club is a good option for Embassy Suites guests who want some quick food and drink. It’s not an incredible place, but the food and drink are more than adequate to get you through your stay.More
Never received our food, complained and the waiter that took our order came and tried to take our order again after a hour had passed. We went to the manager, told him to cancel the order that was obviously never placed, we were done. He...told us to "peace out". So we did, on the entire hotel. We will never go back.More
Loved the Reuben and their fries. Then we had room service from there the Cobb was great as well as the quesadilla. Was disappointed only by the fact they did not have Deep dish bourbon pecan pie available.
