Nice steakhouse and great value

This steakhouse is moderately priced for the value. It provides great steak options that are not outrageous from a price standpoint and the quality is very good. I have the opportunity to dine for business and I was pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. I had the New York strip with mash potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. The steak was cooked to order and very flavorful. They have a fully stock bar so I has able to have a cocktail and a glass of wine with my dinner. To finish things off I had the a nice dessert key lime pie. Also very good. Overall great meal fir a good value

Great Steak, Below Average Seafood

My wife and I dined here last night for the first time. We arrived 25 minutes before our reservation but were seated immediately. We started with the crab claws and escargot appetizers. The claws were just okay and the escargot was overcooked and tasteless so we sent them back. Next course was salads, Caprese and Caesar. They were both well portioned and very good. Our entrees were the 8 ounce filet with scallops, garlic mashed potatoes and grilled veggies and the crab cakes. The steak was great, fork tender perfect medium cook. The scallops were not. They lacked in flavor and were undercooked. The spuds and veggies were good, but overall the dish wasn't worth $50 bucks. I didn't like the taste of the crab cakes. They lacked in fresh crab flavor, so I sent them back and shared my wife's entree. I ended my meal with a creme brulee that was only average. Service was good. The decor and ambiance are excellent, perfect for a romantic dinner, but since there are better fine dining options for both steak and seafood, we do not recommend.

Food and service are both excellent. Crab cubes, really square crab cakes, were loaded with crab and very tasty. Steak Dino was perfectly cooked and outstanding. Service could not have been better. A crumb was never left behind on the tablecloth between courses.

Poor service and inconsistent food quality

I've eaten at Dino's twice and ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and carrots. Each time I commented on either the steak had not being cooked correctly or the carrots being raw. One time my friends and I went to the bar and had a Chocolate Martini. I do recommend ordering one. Yum. My husband and I returned one last time hoping they would redeem themselves. When you spend that amount of money on a meal you would expect excellent service. Our waiter had the personality of a stump. It's like he didn't want to be there. I commented that my raw carrots and he just said, "Oh, ok." He had no facial expressions at all the whole meal (the two times he checked on us) I did speak to the manager so hopefully his attitude will change. Overall, I'm just not impressed. There are other great steak restaurants in Grapevine.

Delicious Dinner for two.

Service was great. The food and wine were great. And the atmosphere was good too, there was a pianist playing a variety of music and the tables are well spaced, and we could actually hear each other without shouting. My wife and I both had fish dishes and they were the best we have found in and around this area. Chilean sea bass and halibut and both were excellent. Nice size portions of fish and good sides. Prices aren’t cheap but sometimes you get what you pay for and Dino’s is well worth it. Wine by the glass is a little pricey too but you get a generous pour. Waitress was attentive and friendly. We had the cappuccino pie and it was delicious.

Dino's is an older looking restaurant in the downtown area of Grapevine. They have lots of parking in the back. We had reservations on a week night and were seated right away. The menu isn't huge but everything we tried was good. We started with a chop salad and a Caesar salad. Both hit the spot. My husband had the halibut wrapped in potatoes and I had the Ahi Tuna with noodle and vegetables. We both really enjoyed the food. The service was a little spotty. Our waiter seemed to disappear for long stretches of time. We weren't in a hurry so it was okay, but seemed a little odd. Prices were reasonable for the type of food we ordered. We'd return if we're in town again.

One of Our Favorites

My husband and I recently dined at Dino’s for the first time, but it was incredible and we will be back. We just recently moved back to Dallas, and have enjoyed trying various restaurants . This place is one of our favorites. We started out with the crab claw appetizer. The broth from the appetizer is amazing paired with their bread. My husband then had the Caprese salad - so delicious ! I had the halibut and he had the sea bass for dinner. The sauces were incredible, as well as the rice they were served on. I’m not a rice fan, but theirs is flavorful and has the added surprise of pecans. Do not miss the Mac and cheese. They use a combination of four cheeses and it is decadent! There is a Kilwin’s next door, and we went their for an incredible scoop of ice cream afterwards. This was a perfect evening!

Steaks that melt in your melt, vegetables cooked to the exact point of done but not overdone, crispy/fresh salad - the food was divine. But that wasn't the end - the ambience was soft and comfortable, pianist was exactly the right balance of pleasant, but not obtrusive, and the best wait person I have ever had. I can't believe that I walked out without getting our waiter's name, but she was so professional, helpful, and friendly, my friends and I were all impressed. I took guests from Connecticut and they loved it. I looked so good as a host so I am grateful and I will be back!

Happy Hour holiday week

The food we had at the bar during happy hour was nice. Unfortunately, the scallops appetizer was not hot but just barely warm. It was disappointing. Cocktails were good and the atmosphere festive as it is Christmas week. I enjoy sitting at the bar and relaxing with a cocktail. I wish our bartender would have smiled, she seemed stressed and they only just opened at 5p.

I get it, its Holiday time. Our dinner was on a Wed. evening. This was our first time to Dino"s. We where there from 7:00 P.M. tell a little after 8:P.M. The restaurant and bar where packed..Everyone was talking over everyone to be heard, so my date and I hardly heard a word to each other. Service as very average for a busy night.We noticed that their menu online ( we looked before we went ) was not the menu we where offered. I asked the waiter and he confirmed that also. So our choice's ended up being a little limited from their " normal" menu. We shared a steak ( 14oz ) and it was cooked as we like, but the steak it'self was not any better, or any worse we have had other places. One other note... as tables and bar top where cleaned, they used only Windex. Windex as we all know is a glass cleaner, not a disinfectant.Water would have done as much...

One of the better steaks I've eaten anywhere in the Metroplex and the cheesecake may be the best anywhere. The waitstaff is fantastic. (Only one thing... don't sit upstairs across from the waitstaff entrance/exit. The A/C blows right on your table. Had to ask the waiter twice to point the vent upward.) I LOVE the menu size. Its large enough to give plenty of options but not so large that it takes a table of 5 a long time to decide. OH, be sure to try the mac-n-cheese.

Good food, make a reservation!

We had a party of 6 and I was so glad we made reservations! The place was packed and our experience justified the interest! Our meal was great. Our table had steaks and seafood options as well as couple of different bottles of wine. The service was attentive and quick, and the atmosphere was elegant. The menu was a little on the limited side. I'm not sure if that is normal or due to all the supply/labor shortages going on. But the food that was offered was good.

Made reservations ahead of time. Arrived on time and seated quickly upstairs. It was a bit dark. There was a gal there playing piano which was nice. Started with the scallops which were great. Good scallops for sure. I had the tuna dish with noodles. Wife had the sea bass and son had the New York strip. Steak was good and cooked medium rare. Sea bass was meh. It wasn’t flavored well, tasted fishy. My tuna was ok and didn’t have any flavor. For the price expected more. Wouldn’t go back.

Came here with a group of 7. We had a reservation and were immediately seated when we arrived. We began with cocktails and hordevoures. We all got some form of beef. The food was absolutely amazing. Everyone only had high remarks for their dinner. I had the New York Steak with the Macaroni a la Quattro Fromage. If you like Macaroni and Cheese, this is a must try. Loved it. Service was great. Out server took great care and a manager stopped in to check on is as well. Awesome food, service and fellowship with colleagues.
