We ate here twice during our stay at the Wildcatter Ranch. The service was fine, the atmosphere friendly, the menu sufficient (steak heavy, which was very expensive) although portion sizes were okay. It was the limited variety in the menu (and lack of any daily...specials) that drove us off the ranch for our last night and in to another town in search of something different.More

My wife and I stayed at the ranch for a weekend anniversary getaway and at dinner here Friday evening and lunch on Sunday. Both experiences were excellent in every way. I really appreciated how other servers checked up on us to see if we needed...anything.More

We enjoyed an anniversary dinner at the steakhouse. We arrived about 30 minutes before our dinner reservations so we could have a couple of drinks at the bar. Before dinner, they serve you rosemary cheddar biscuits that are awesome. My husband ordered the steak and...I ordered the grilled shrimp. Both were excellent.More

Ate here while staying at the Wildcatter Ranch. Selection ranged from informal breakfast to BBQ lunch to more formal dinner. Service was incredibly friendly and the food was consistently good. The restaurant and ranch were relatively quiet over Christmas break but certainly appreciated all of...the COVID precautions taken at the restaurant (e.g., masks, socially-distanced tables, etc.). Christmas Eve menu with the family was particularly delicious and would definitely go back again with the whole family.More

We stayed at Wildcatter Ranch for 2 nights in October and this was the only place we ate. Not a single staff member wore a mask for any of our visits. Guests wore masks. We opted for outside seating as the safer option and also...has an awesome view. DINNER: We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Jalepeno Popper appetizers were very good and almost a meal on their own. I had the rib eye steak, and wife had the salmon. Both were a bit bland and lacked seasoning. Second night, I had the smoked chicken. There was no smell of smoke and the chicken dried out. Drinks were moderately priced at an average of $8 including wine. BREAKFAST: Good mix of foods for breakfast buffet, pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, granola, fried potato pancakes. Breakfast tasted good. LUNCH: There are no menus only a sign at the main entrance. Your choices are pulled pork, ribs, brisket, sandwiches $6 and choice of sides: potato salad and cole slaw for $2. The man at the front said to choose your meat for the sandwich and a side. There are no options for lunch for kids or vegetarians. We were surprised that the rib sandwich was not a sandwich at all but a full rack of ribs. We were then expected to pay $16 for the ribs. The ribs were really good. It would have been nice to know the price ahead of time. The cole slaw was fermented and gone bad. The potato salad tasted off as well. Both side portions were really small. We saw our server twice, he brought our sodas out 20 minutes after we ordered, and again to bring out our food we were pretty disappointed in him. Lacey who served us other meals was great.More

We made a reservation well ahead of time for 7:30 Saturday night. We had to wait for over a hour to be seated at our table, then waited another 20+ minutes and never saw a server. We ended up leaving with out even ordering. The...bartender had to leave the bar to be a server for an outside table after another guest complained they had been waiting at the table for 15 minutes and no server either. The hostess was also having to wait on the tables. They were woefully understaffed. All of the staff was super polite and nice, just overly burdened. I feel like for the prices they ask for their food, they definitely can afford more help. We figured maybe they just had a rough night, and decided to give them a second chance for breakfast. We weren’t greeted by anyone, no instruction for the buffet. No one letting you know where to go or what to do. We spoke with another group later in the morning who was there for dinner the night before, and they told us it was over 2 hours after their reservation were they even able to order. Definitely was disappointed for what was supposed to be our anniversary dinner.More

We were fortunate to have our Thanksgiving meal at the Wildcatter Ranch Restaurant today. Everything including the atmosphere, the service and of course the food was amazing. We plan to it a family tradition to spend Thanksgiving here every year!

Hi Made reservations for my Birthday dinner. At restaurant no one was there to greet anyone. Finally caught bartender who was annoyed because he was overworked. He said he would seat us. Just wait. Was told short staffed and had a wedding party in adjoining...room. Food was mediocre. Only bright spot was our 8 1/2 month pregnant waitress. Not going back.More

Went there with some friends visiting from out of state. We live just west of Ft Worth. Great food and atmosphere. A little pricey, but would go back on special occassions.

During our stay at the ranch we ate here every night. Food is good and reasonably priced. If I should recommend something, it would be the 'bone-in' giant ribeye for sharing … and the excellent service.

My wife was not too excited about the restaurant but I thought it was great!!! The one thing about the restaurant is that the steaks are mesquite smoked and grilled. This is different than a typical steakhouse. Here you will have authentic real smoked in...flavor with mesquite wood infusion. I thought that this makes the food even better. She just likes the typical steak with salt and pepper on top. I thought the halibut was good as well. The menu is varied and has food for everyone in the family. Only issues is that the food, especially the huge bone in ribeye for two takes about 40 min to get to you, but it is a large cut of meat. Dined there twice and we thought the service (servers) were not up to par with the service from the resort staff. They were not super excited about their work!More
