Glen Rose is a great town to visit with kids and Storiebook Cafe should be on your list for a lunch stop. Tons of toys and games and costumes are scattered throughout the playroom and the food is good. My boys had great fun playing dominoes while they ate their sandwiches shaped like dinosaurs.

Is is a fun place to have lunch. Men and women both love this place and find it very interesting. One room is like a library with all types of real books, other rooms are dollhouse style with great toys for children to play with while waiting for their meal. And the food is wonderful lunchtime type selections. When you... More

We were traveling to Glen Rose and discovered this place after reading about it on Trip Advisor. What a "novel" experience! The atmosphere is amazing. The staff are very warm and friendly. We felt right at home. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, too. Plus, sign up to receive texts from them and get a 15 percent discount! We... More

The staff is friendly and the owner is often waiting tables and chatting with customers. The food is good and reasonably priced. There are books to look at or buy. There is even a playroom for the kiddos!

My friend and I stopped in after a visit to the Creation Evidence Museum and on our way back to Ft Worth. We were thrilled. It was unique and so well decorated that we had to walk around and take everything in. The food was great too! My friend had a Reuben while I had a salad. Both were excellent... More

Stopped here after reading about it on Trip Advisor. The peach tea and chicken salad sandwich was perfect for me. Everyone in my family ordered something different and all were satisfied. Interesting library cafe with plenty books.

My son and I stopped here for lunch one day after we got tired of cooking at our campsite in the state park. The food was well prepared and the iced coffee hit the spot! The decor is adorable and I wish I could sit and read all the books!

My husband and I were exploring the area earlier this week and came across the Storiebook Cafe in Glen Rose. The cafe occupies an old gas station property, but we found a place to park and pulled in. When we opened the door, I stopped in my tracks. Books lined the walls and spilled from old bookcases groaning under their... More

We love finding unexpected gems and this restaurant definitely qualifies! Food and service was great, the quart jar of iced tea was appreciated but the ambiance was the clincher. There's a play area for little ones while parents relax at nearby tables.

I had lunch here with a friend. The food was good but the ambience was even better! This used to be a book store. The cafe still sells books, used and new. The rooms are decorated thematically and the entire atmosphere is just wonderful. We spoke to the owner as we were checking out and she was very friendly. Just... More
