This is a nice little family run restaurant. They don't have the typical buffet, just order off the menu. We had the fried rice and sweet and sour pork. Both were good.

Very mediocre Chinese food. Moo Goo Gai Pan and Happy Family come with unusual sweet brown sauce rather than standard white sauce. Very shabby appearance for the facility, they have concrete floors and shabby old tables. Rest rooms are run down and unattractive. Location in a strip shopping center setting. Very mediocre overall.

It's a tiny hole in the wall restaurant, but it's the best place for Chinese food in town! The food is always fresh, the atmosphere is great, and it's almost always busy. The staff are great and the business itself is locally owned and you can always catch them working or interacting with the patrons.

I HAVE to go here on a weekly basis to get my Chinese food fix. Almost always I go at lunch because of their very economical lunch specials. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious. My favorite is the veggies with garlic sauce. Wait people are happy and efficient.

The Asian food here is very good. I recently visited with eleven ladies and all thought their lunch choices were tasty and we all agreed the portions are generous. Very enjoyable lunch.

Moved to Georgetown a year ago from Austin. Lucked into this restaurant. The food is wonderful! Hubby had Sesame chicken, i had Mongolian beef, so good that my mouth is watering as I write this.

I am an ex military kid and have lived literally around the world. When I was very young I had the privilege of living on Okinawa. We used to go to this eating Establishment called "The FBIS Club". They had the best egg rolls that I had ever tasted. Crisp through and through, never soggy and the veggies always fresh... More

Typical of most Chinese restaurants. Food was well prepared and service was more than adequate. Prices were reasonable and is a good option when cooking at home is not on your agenda. Good menu selection.

This popular mall-located Chinese restaurant has a broad menu, largely Cantonese, serving generous portions of generally good quality (on occasion overcooked). Typical family style setting--about a dozen formica top tables with wooden chairs and five cushioned booths. Service is good; prices are quite reasonable.

I have lived in Georgetown for over 25 years, and Shanghai Express has been creating great Chinese food for all or most of that time. I just got back from lunch there with our office staff. I had the lemon chicken - very good, crisply fried, not greasy with a lemon sauce that is not overpowering. Great fried rice, too.... More
