I had the Ribeye special with salad and bake potato. It was a great meal. The steak was tender and tasty. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is very rustic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

the food was average in taste and a bit pricey to me. The service is great but the building itself is enough to turn me off. The place is cluttered with old things in an old building and thus appears in itself to be dirty...but then you see the cobwebs and dirt and know it is not a clean place to eat. Poor selection of foods as well. The fish was over cooked and chewy.More

Tried this restaurant, thinking it offered Cajun food. (My fault.) Decided on large chicken fried steak, which means two meat portions. Meat was decent, as was batter, but the gravy came across as greasy instead of creamy. One side of "corn on the cob" was...cold, and "loaded mashed potatoes" seemed to be a scoop of mashed potato, with some cheese on top that was micro-waved. Service was very friendly and attuned to my seeming lack of enthusiasm over the meal. The blackberry cobbler was pretty good, which was comped by the restaurant.More

The Chicken Fried Steak was as good as other reviewers said it was. Can not say the same for their Mac and Cheese of their bake beans, The mac and cheese had a white sauce that had no cheese flavor and was runny. The bake...beans tasted as they came right of a can and were never baked. My wife's cat fish was very good and her frys were good also. Service was friendly but very slow.More

The burgers were excellent and served in a timely manner. The waitress, Becky, was superb! We will return.

The food was good, home cooking. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was all steak as opposed to a lot of breading. He really enjoyed it. BUt didn't care for the mashed potatoes as they seemed bland. I ate the fried catfish...with a salad and macaroni. The catfish was good, the salad was basic, and the macaroni was tasty. We enjoyed the friendly and attentive staff and the restaurant decor. The food is a little pricey for what it is but we still enjoyed it.More

Great selection of local , Mom & Pop food. Jalapenos Burger spectacular, fried jalapenos, & dill pickles. Serves great unsweetened ( or Ugh! sweetened ice tea. Great hostesses. Lots of parking, quiet, uncrowded most if the time. Good bargain meals. Fried Jalapenos not too bad...Also have great TX Chicken fried Steaks.More

No matter what you order it will be a full plate and great food. The fish is good and the hamburger steak is to die for. Dont forget the sweet tea.
