We ordered chicken fajitas, bean soup, choriqueso, and margaritas, all to go. The choriqueso looked pretty bad in the Styrofoam tray. We transferred it into a bowl and reheated it in the microwave. The flavor was good. The fajitas were weird. The chicken was sliced...into medallions and was red as if it were seasoned with paprika. The flavor was in line with that. No traditional flavor of fajitas though they were cooked with onions and 4 wide slices of bell pepper in an order for 2! The proportions were way off. They also added half moon shaped potatoes which made no since at all! The bean soup had what looked like bits of sliced ham like you would see in a lunch meat aisle at the grocery store. It also had no seasoning or flavor. But the worst value were the margaritas. The flavor was ok if you like limeade. I watched the owner's son make them. Into a parfait glass filled with ice he added 1 oz of some cheap tequila; no triple sec or any kind of orange liqueur, then filled it with the limeade concoction he got from the dispenser. I asked for 4 margaritas to go. Each had 2 ounces of tequila in a 16 oz cup. For each glass I was charged $4.99 per drink since it was Happy Hour. 1 16 oz cup counted as 2 drinks. 4 of them were $31.92. We were planning on saving some in the fridge for the weekend. No chance. We finished all 8 margaritas between us and felt nothing. We're not heavy drinkers. But we do like to relax once in a while with margaritas and Mexican food. I'm not sure if I can say we had either last night. I feel like I wasted $100+ with tip. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone and won't be returning there myself. The only reason we went is because Desperado's was closed due to weather. I really can't understand all the positive reviews for this place. I rarely give poor reviews, but this was the most disappointing Mexican meal I can remember having anywhere in Garland, Richardson, Plano, or Dallas.More

WOW. You talk about hot tasty Mexican food that's brimming with flavor. It is also family owned. A real find in the Springpark Area. Very reasonable

Decided to try this restaurant that came up on Google. Realized it was a spot of one of our favorite places, with a name change. We went on a Sunday at 1pm and only 1 other table there. Very quiet inside. Wait staff was 1...hostess and 1 waiter. They serve brunch until 2pm, and have free Berry Mojitos until 2pm;limited time. We opted for Chorizo con Huevous with salad, papas, and refried beans. Flavorful, but we did need to ask for tortillas. You can up charge to a VIP and get a Mimosa and either pancake or sopapilla. All good. Will try again and choose a traditional plate to see how it fairs.More

This was the first time to try the place although I've passed it many times. WILL BE BACK!! Not very busy although I'm told they are really busy at night & on the weekends. They have a lunch menu & one of the features is...build your own plate. I had a chicken burrito & a bowl of the avocado soup. Delicious!! Salsa is perfect with just the right amount of kick to it. Staff very friendly & service was fast.More

This is our go-to place for Mexican food near us. The food and service is consistently good. We love the tableside guacamole and their avocado soup. Unlike other places where I stick with the same thing when I find something good; this is all good...and I switch around all the time. great fajitas, chicken enchiladas, nachos. I have never been disappointed here. We try to always get the same waiter because he is just so attentive but so are all the servers.. Quite atmosphere but also a TV in the bar for sports. Good salsa too.More

I make it a point to get some TexMex any time I visit my hometown. The usual places have grown old to me so I searched for a new spot and ran across this place. The salsa is fantastic with a nice kick to it....We had a Choriqueso for an appetizer and they prepared it at the table, it was excellent. We all had a lunch combo and all was prepared well and tasty. My taco was crunchy and again well done. The service was great as well. This is now the usual for my TexMex fix! Will have to try it for dinner next time. For lunch, this place was great.More

We were driving by on our way home and decided to try the place. It is standard Tex Mex for the most part.. a bit pricey but not to bad. Food was ok.. Service was very good. If you live in the neighborhood or are...nearby, sure try it out. But I would not travel very far to try it .More

We tried this restaurant after going to another nearby Mexican restaurant and being told that the wait was 1 1/2 hours at 8:30 on a weeknight. We were very impressed. Like another reviewer mentioned, the parking lot was pretty empty and when we got inside,...there were only a few tables occupied. Service and food were great and we also liked the fact that the owner came by the table and checked on us a couple of times.More

This has become my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is very good, reasonably priced, and the owners are terrific people. And I must admit to being addicted to their chips and salsa.

We got here in the evening on a Saturday and we really thought this was closed because when we pulled up the parking lot was empty and lighting didn't really help the restaurant stand out. A really small group (can't say crowd) for a weekend...and lots of staff members standing around - not being lazy, it seemed like they just didn't have a lot to do. The manager greeted us and was friendly and helpful. Our waiter was in training and it was obvious - he was really sweet but easily flustered (in an endearing way since we were not in a hurry) and very over attentive. I wish I could say the meals were good but they were not. Generally bland, two entree's with chicken were so full of gristle they were inedible. We did let the manager know and he took one of them off the ticket. We were not angling for a free meal so that was an appreciated move, we just really wanted him to know. I hope the food improves because otherwise I don't see how this restaurant will survive.More

We ate here with our Corvette buddies for a monthly meeting. We had about 70 members in attendance. the restaurant did an excellent job serving all of us together. The salsa is spicy and very palatable. Chips ere fresh and the wait staff kept both...topped up throughout the hour and half that we were in the restaurant. I ordered the enchilada plate and my spouse ordered the taco salad with chicken. Both plates were more than we could finish. The setting is good for families and children.More

You can get food this good at a lot of places, but not too many places are this friendly. Nice place for a meal and a drink for a traveller. Good enchiladas.
