Excellent chili relleno! About the only place I will order this. Great chips and salsa. Very nice atmosphere.

Let me start by saying this was my first visit to Maat's Rancho Martinez. Even though it was a Friday evening ( around 6 ) the wait was only fifteen minutes . As we started to order appetizers our server informed us "its Happy Hour...More
Can't go wrong here. Great salsa, very fresh. Went with the family for lunch one day and dinner the next, we were staying in the Hyatt next door. No one had any complaints and that is rare for a such a large group.

The food was meh but it was a great experience because of our server Ramone. Not too sure why an authentic Mexican place would be called Matt's so wasn't expecting much anyway.
Excellent meal. Broad range menu. Restaurant was busy and service was great. Its close to a few hotels, so we were able to walk to Matt's from our property.
Very good food hot sauce is great too.. tamale dinner great.. stuffed pepper were out of site great.. close by Rowlett texas...
Consistently good food, good service, good value and a pleasant atmosphere. Much closer than going to Lakewood (old days). The broth-based tortilla soup is the best in the area and my personal favorite, but they also do a mean chicken-fried steak multiple ways.
