Places like this are usually a bit noisy, but the food was very good, the service attentive, overall a good time. I'd go there again.

Like...I really really love this queso. God only knows what they put in it to make it so addictive. But, that matters not bc it is insanely tasty. Fajitas....carnitas...chicken fried steak...tacos...also really good. Obtw...did I mention how good the queso is?

The food is always spot on -- this is one of our favorite places to satisfy our Mexican food cravings. We've been going to Matt's for over 25 years, back when they only had a small restaurant in East Dallas. We are so happy to have one close to us!

Went because it was a short walk from our hotel, but it was a nice surprise! Loved the GIGANTIC chips and enchiladas, especially the spinach and mushroom ones. (Pro Tip: don't leave half a burrito in a poorly-insulated hotel mini fridge because it will smell like death.)

Great overall restaurant, with festive atmosphere. 5 star food, great menu, very accommodating chef, who will modify food needs/wants...just great overall service. The employees always seem to be happy, energetic and wanting to please! Great customer service. May I also add, their Margarita's are to die for. This restaurant is a family owned restaurant with a rich history. Their pride... More

We were happy to find that most of Matt's menu is gluten free. Our son was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, so eating out now can be a nightmare. He can eat the chips and queso here, which he loves. Matt's also has tons of choices on the kids' menu for our other children and almost any entree that you... More

We had an early lunch today. Son has a steak & called it fantastic. Husband had Huevos Rancheros & was very happy. I had Shrimp Martinez & it was awesome. Great queso, too. Salsa was hot & fresh. Only negative thing was the floors were sticky.

Matt's is what I classify as standard Mexican food. I went with my family and our experience was on par with other restaurants of this type. The taste of the food was decent, the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the prices were moderate. The server was a bit slow, but perhaps he was trying to create a more... More

I had the lunch fajitas. Restaurant is clean. Reasonably priced reasonably good food. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing however the menu has Seafood Steak comfort food and Mexican food. The menu seemed to have a little bit of an identity crisis. The only thing missing was Thai food Chinese food and Italian.

Thank Clint C
