Wonderful breakfasts! Wife had eggs Benedict & I had eggs & crab cakes (essentially crab cakes Benedict) – both were delicious. Cedar cheese jalapeño toast served which was fantastic. Mimosas were great too! Very popular but they were very efficient in seating people. Very strict...above COVID protocols.More

Absolutely the best breakfast on the island! My family had breakfast here last Sunday. I knew it was a popular spot, so we got there around 9am. We were a party of 5 and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures of the...food but it was all beautiful, fresh and AMAZING!! We got beignets and the danish/blueberry muffin/scone/croissant plate for the table. The danish was to die for! Between the 5 of us we had the big breakfast, pancakes with berries, waffle with berries and the crab & avocado eggs Benedict. It was all delicious. The prices were not bad either. All of that food including coffee and 3 fresh squeezed orange juice our ticket was just over $100 before tip!! This will definitely be a staple visit any time we are in Galveston! I’m regretting the fact that we declined to get anything to-go from the bakery! A danish would be great right now!! Do yourself a favor and try out Sunflower Bakery & Cafe! You won’t be disappointed.More

New to town and looking for a bakery. Stopped and decided to try a few things. Other reviews had been positive. Disappointed! Cookies tasted day old at best. Chocolate cherry essentially tasteless and VERY dry. Ginger cookies and wedding cookies so so at best. Probably...won't be back.More

Will definitely come back here for breakfast next time I am in Galveston. Danish basket for the table for a starter was excellent. I would ask to swap the chocolate chip scone for another croissant next time but that is just personal preference. Waiter was...perfectly attentive, great atmosphere with plenty of space between tables. Migas were very good and the potatoes as a side were excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed my meal!More

Loved the Belgian waffles with fresh fruit! We got a takeaway order instead of waiting for a patio seat, but am looking forward to enjoying the outside area next time.

It's a bit pricey when coffee costs $3.49, but the biscuits and gravy were OK - needed some sausage or something to add flavor to the gravy. The little breakfast was huge and tasty. Prices don't bother anyone cause there was a waiting line to...get in so go early. Wanted to pick up a dessert, but it was the day before Thanksgiving and the bakery was busy with filling holiday orders.More

I arrived early enough for breakfast to beat the crowd, though it was getting busy as I ate. It's best to get here for breakfast before 9 A.M., since this is a popular restaurant. I ordered the Sausage & Grits entrée: sausage patties, scrambled eggs,...grits, tomato, spinach, bacon. Reasonably priced. Good service.More

It was a dreary and rainy Saturday morning, when we started the first day of our vacation at this highly recommended breakfast spot. The parking is challenging, even with a parking lot next door, but worth the effort. Our waitress, Jackie, obviously loves her job...and her enthusiasm was another bright spot of our morning. I had the bread pudding French Toast, a delicious special. My husband got a breakfast combo and licked the plate clean. Portions are large and can be shared. And there is a bakery filled with take home delights, including soups and other cold items. A place not to be missedMore

Probably before 9:00AM. I was there on a Monday in October so it wasn't that crowded.

I think that Sunflower will customize a cake, if by that you mean decorating one for a special occasion. Pattycakes, a couple of blocks away and also on 14th Street, does customized cakes. Both bakeries are good.
