Such a great place for amazing banana splits or hot fudge sundaes while people watching or seeing them make taffy in front of your eyes.

Best milkshakes ever, go hungry because they are huge! Also very nice selection of chocolates and salt water taffy. Located in a historic building, it looks like an old fashioned ice cream parlor which adds to the charm. Don't miss this if you are on the Strand.

This is a fabulous ice cream and confectionery shop. Everything is made right on site and the quality is similar to that you might find in Belgium! The atmosphere takes you back to the days of your Great Grandparents, in the late 1800's and early twentieth century.

This is a "must stop" every time we visit the island. They have ice cream, coffee drinks, handmade chocolates, and specialty candies and taffy.

After a day at the beach and carrying a third degree sunburn La King's is the place to really chill out and rake up a killer caloric count. On The Strand, it is a short walk from the cruise line docks on the east end of the district. The ice cream is made in-house and so is the candy. Old... More

Not much else to say that others haven't already. This place is a must stop for me when we go to the island! I love the whole Strand area and the history surrounding the place. If you value old fashioned candy-making and soda fountains you will be tickled by this place!

I got ice cream and my husband got a Coke float. It was good. My hubby said the coke float needed more ice cream. We also got candy and watched the taffy pull.

Awesome place to step back in time. Ice cream, candy by the piece or pound, fudge, soda jerks serving homemade malts, shakes. Cool experience. Awesome place to cool off, indulge and lots of gift ideas too if someone loves candy

Every time I'm in Galveston this has to be one of my stops. Candy, malts, ice cream, taffy and etc. On certain days you can watch the taffy be made.
