The building has seen better days, know that right off but it doesn't take away from the food! We ordered a sampler platter for myself and two little girls - it was more than enough food at a good price and we all got our favorites plus something new. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home. I'm... More

The green chicken enchiladas are as good as any I've tried. They just need some table tweaking. I recommend ordering a side of tomatillo sauce. They do not come with enough. They use way too much cheddar-jack cheese; I don't care for cheddar on green chicken enchiladas. I remove most of the cheese, and then dump the tomatillo sauce on... More

We've eaten at El Gusto a few times in the past few months and have never been either impressed or particularly disappointed. They serve standard Mexican fare at a reasonable price, and the service is friendly (although not always prompt). They'd probably be rated a notch higher if there weren't several better choices at the same price point nearby.

The best thing about El Gusto is the waiter Jamie. He always makes us feel at home. Food is good, Margaritas are good. Family run but it is more expensive than most.

The staff at El Gusto was friendly and the service was prompt. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. They were made fresh. There was a lot of sauce and cheese covering the enchiladas and the sides were refried beans, which were tasty, and rice, which was bland. My husband had the crispy tacos and really seemed to enjoy them. The sides... More

Friendly service, food was hot, and the coffee wasn't bad either. Nothing special about the food, but it's cheap, and a great way to start off your day before heading to the Mexican cruise ship. Viva Mexico!!

We went to have lunch at El Gusto, I had never been here before so I asked the waitress her choice.... You would think she would guide you to an expensive item, but no she said we have a special to day... We chose to listen to her and what a pleasure to have lunch. Enchiladas with green sauce beans... Great family run restaurant with authentic Mexican food,NOT that Tex-Mex nastiness!!! It's a little small inside, also called "quaint" in most food reviews, but I've NEVER had to wait on a table yet!!

My wife and I stopped here because she loves seafood and the menu included ceviche. At first everything was fine until the food came. The "ceviche" was frozen fish and artificial crab in lemon juice. The Perch we ordered was actually Talapia. Even the nachos were bad! Terrible place to eat.
