Doesn't look fancy, but seafood is delicious. Would definitely recommend you try the oyster poboy or gumbo. Service is good and quick.

When I arrived in Galveston I asked a local what is a good place to eat that was not a chain. I was told Shrimp & Stuff, in an old house, and really really good. Two of our group actually ate in the restaurant and I stayed at the RV park. They both said the coconut shrimp was awesome. It... More

Had lunch here with a friend. We both had shrimp tacos and were both disappointed. The shrimp were very shrimpy and tasteless. Since we were at the beach we expected better. Prices were too expensive for the quality of the food. Location was not bad, just off the Strand but there are better places to eat on the Strand and... More

I was truly disappointed. I should have walked out when my nostrils identified the smell of old grease. Because a local recommended I didn't. Everything was fried and the coleslaw was not fresh. I ordered the coconut shrimp and onion rings. To be fair the onion rings were the best thing I ordered.

After reading some of the ratings on this establishment, we thought we'd give this restaurant a try. Very casual place, order at the counter & pick-up there, too. Lots of great choices on their menu, cooked to order just for you. I decided to try the "Coconut Shrimp" dinner...and I was not disappointed!! What a great flavor, with their special... More

On a recent trip to Galveston to hop on a cruise ship, our party decided to get away from the touristy spots along the seawall and give this place a try. They even advertise that this is where the locals eat, and now we know why. The food is excellent, plentiful, and reasonably priced. What a find. We will make... More

Very good fish, shrimp, fries and excellent slaw. The beer was also good. I'd eat there again when on the island. Ron was right...it didn't look like a fine dining establishment but it didn't need to. 'Twas a cool place with lots of locals and that says a lot.

The shrimp po-boy was pretty Good. Cole slaw was excellent. Gumbo was very good . Stuffed shrimp was fair. Very good food , very good local feel but the cashier we had was very unfriendly , We would go definitely go again !

Nope, it's not gluten free. Nope, it's not hipster(c). It is down-home, comfort fried food. I grew up further up the Texas coast, and this place is legit. Best po-boys outside of NOLA. Be prepared to wade through plenty of locals at peak times (the true hallmark of a good place). Prices are reasonable, and I would recommend the coconut... More

We have dined at the original location of Shrimp and Stuff several times and the quality of the food is the best. Very tasty and fresh along with service that is outstanding. At our recent trip to Galveston in Sept, 2016, we had a table for 8 and everyone, without exception, had compliments to report about different orders. The place... More

Description
Shrimp 'N Stuff Restaurant opened in 1976 and quickly became known as "the place where the locals love to eat." In these past 38 years we have had many guests visiting our fine city from across the U.S. who tell us they wished they had found Shrimp 'N Stuff the first day they arrived and assured us they will be back several times before they leave Galveston.
