This place has great character! You can either get a quick ice cream or go for a sit-down meal. They have been in business for 15 years and I see why they have lasted! The tuna and the fish taco meals were great. Loved the view of the gulf waters or of the Pleasure Pier.

Went there for Sunday lunch and loved EVERYTHING! Trio hot appetizer was BEYOND delicious. Shrimp & crab Cobb salad was fresh and tasty. Grilled seafood trio (crab cake, salmon, and grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables) was cooked perfectly. But the best part of lunch was our server Stephanie!!!! Thanks for a special meal. We'll be back again!

My husband and friends had dinner at Fish Tales. After looking at what other people ordered (!), we all decided on the cat fish because it looked so good. We were not disappointed. The batter was excellent and no dark 'fishy' meat. The sides were good, the drinks were cold and our waitress was friendly. We had parked next door... More

We had a great meal at Fish Tales. Our waiter was great. Parking was a bit of a pain. If you park in the parking lot your waiter will need to validate your parking ticket for free parking

Originally when we looked at Fish Tales I thought this would be another tourist trap, I was wrong. We went with advice from locales and headed during happy hour. From the moment we walked in our service was excellent. Food was great and the locale staff was a great help with directions and telling us good local places to visit.... More

Our first stop on Galveston Island, we had lunch on the top floor, outside. If you like pigeons begging for food, this is the place for you. I had one walk across my flip-flopped foot! Fried shrimp for me and fish and chips for my husband. Good, but not exceptional. Very friendly staff all around, and very good ice cream... More

Went there yesterday 17 of us and we're seated on the top deck. It was great atmosphere and great food. I had the steak and shrimp and it was pretty good, my husband had the oysters fried and said they were very good. Everyone else liked their food and it was all warm and served at once so kudos to... Greeted right away by friendly hostess. Sat upstairs in the bar area, great view even from inside. Clam chowder was cold when delivered but waitress corrected it right away, was eventually delicious. Calamari and fish and chips were fab. Overall well worth the visit. Will return!

We were staying close by and asked our hotel (Country Inn) where a good place to eat was. She suggested fish tales. We walked on down on a busy Friday night and had a short wait. The wait staff was great. The food was really good and price fairly reasonable.

I wouldn’t give them a single star. We asked to speak with chief about the quality of food he had put on the dish and instead management called the security to exercise the payment. I will stop respect myself if it happens again that I enter that terrible place. Absolutely not recommended!
