We found this gem on Trip Advisor and it lived up to the good reviews. My Shrimp Trio was excellent and my wife’s Seafood Trio (Salmon, Crab and Shrimp) was yummy! The risotto was outstanding! The bread and butter were fresh, and the Chocolate Lava...Cake was to die for! It’s a must, believe me! DeanMore

This is a very good restaurant. It’s not real big. Great selection of menu items. We received excellent service from Kenneth. He was just attentive enough. Eager to answer our questions. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. Melted like butter in your mouth. The sea...bass and jumbo crab were roasted well but still creamy in texture complimenting the delightful lemon butter sauce. The chocolate cream cake was very different in texture than most deserts but so good. A must try if they have it on the menu. They don’t always have it.More

We started with champagne and an ahi tuna tower. It was the best tuna we ever put in our mouth. Unusual flavor combinations in it kept you coming back for bite after bite. Perfect amount of spice. The ribeye melted in your mouth like butter....The sea bass was perfectly roasted and paired with creamy asparagus and couscous. Creme brûlée was filled with vanilla beans! An excellent meal. Kenneth was attentive and very sweet. He really tried to make our anniversary special. He truly did. It’s not an inexpensive dinner but one of the best you’ll have on Galveston island.More

We had a wonderful dinner. My husband had the red fish with capers. It was cooked perfectly and the side veggies were delicious. I had the filet and it was cooked just right. The vibe was great. A bit upscale but very friendly. We’ll be...back!More

I absolutely "love" everything about this restaurant! The food is delicious. The service is wonderful and the chefs are terrific! Our waiters have been Travis and Julia. The chefs were Mario and Jose. Love the fresh seafood and salad. And then there is dessert! When...you go, enjoy! Thanks, JWMore

My new favorite restaurant! Fresh seafood chef styled. Blackened Redfish Tostada & Coconut Shrimp are must orders! Trendy setting with tablecloths, yet not stuffy formal...they’ll split plate serve menu items. Attentive staff.

I work on weekends and sometimes it is really nice to go out for dinner and relax after work. I feel comfortable at Salt Water Grill alone, as well as with others. The staff is very professional and the food is excellent. The Texas Redfish...with Lemon Caper Sauce is a favorite! It comes with fingerling potatoes and perfectly crisp-tender green beans. The dessert menu is varied and I am sure there is something to suit everyone's taste buds. My personal choice is Creme Brulee.More

Because of good reviews, we visited Saltwater Grill while vacationing in Galveston. The only positive comments I can give this restaurant is that our waitress was polite and attentive, and the old building it is in created great ambience. I ordered the ribeye and my...husband ordered the NY strip, both cooked to medium. When I asked what sides came with the steaks, I was shocked to find that the already overpriced costs for the steaks did not include any sides. What??? Who would eat just at a steak with no sides? So, we each added a side for an additional $6. When our meal arrived, we were both disappointed because both steaks were cooked to well done, with not even a hint of pink to be found. In addition, it appeared that no seasoning was applied to either steak during the cooking process. Even after adding salt, pepper and A-1 sauce, the steaks were not good. Maybe this restaurant does well with other types of food, but you might want to go elsewhere if you are looking for a good steak. For us, the meal was not worth the $95 it cost us, and we won't return. I would have given one star, but chose two to reflect that the waitress was not bad.More
