We went there for breakfast on Sunday and had the OMG that's an experience in itself the grids have goat cheese in it and it's wonderful the salads are fantastic to. We specially like the goat cheese salad. A lot of the locals from the hospital go there to enjoy lunch and breakfast they have validated parking next-door.

What a find. Near the medical center this cafe has a great breakfast menu. Chicken snitzel with several options waffles, pancakes, eggs and more. I elected biscuits which is not a normal menu choice but they accommodated me. They offer individual mimosas and by the carafe. I found the menu prices medium for Galveston. The menus is quite varied and... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by family who had lived in Galveston. We were surprised to see that you walked up to the counter to order. However, our food came quickly and was served on real plates with real silverware. The atmosphere was fun and busy. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the grilled fish tacos. They were... More

Has this place changed hands. Had lunch today and it was a less than average experience from past visits. I was there with two friends. You order at the counter so we all received a different order number to set at our table. The lunches came out one at a time with a long wait between each delivery. I actually... More

Tasty food and packed with patrons, so you know it is well liked by the locals as well. (It is near the hospital area so apparently many doctors and other personnel walk over.) Food was very good, although it was a bit on the expensive side for what you actually get. You grab a menu and walk up to the... More

Lunch time visit during a weekday. Locals about, so it was a little less crowded. As usual, menu played it straight. Large portions, clean, quick service, in a cool spot. My son had a huge hamburger (Boyburger) , granddaughter had Cheese pizza (took most of it home) - and I had the fish tacos. Great corn tortillas, crispy veggies to... More

Out for lunch with hubby on his co-worker recommendation. I had the non-Italian pizza, he had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty. The carafe of mimosas weren't bad either. Definitely will go again.

We go here any chance we get. Our first experience was so wonderful not only because the staff (including the parking lot staff) were extremely friendly but because the food was great. Good price for size of food you get.

Seems like most of the places to eat in Galveston are owned by Landry's. Not this one. Not fond of corporate owned restaurants and this one is not. Friendly staff, good food, clean building. Can't go wrong with this place.

This was my first and last visit. The place was dirty with flies all over the place. The lemonade was barely drinkable and the fries were soggy. At least the shrimp poorboys were average. Find another place!

Description
Texas Monthly Magazine - "This bright, cheery cafe located near the Medical Center enjoys a legion of foodie fans. Weekday lunches feature great salads, sandwiches, po'boys, and one of our faves-tacos loaded with grilled fish, crunchy cabbage slaw, and a house-made rémoulade that brings it all together. On the weekends we return for a brunch of fluffy biscuits topped with sinfully rich cream gravy and a pitcher of mimosas with fresh squeezed OJ. Oh yeah."
