Awesome food and awesome service! Everything was so good. The calamari is superb. Wow! I would highly recommend eating here. I’m sad we ate here after dark... I would have loved to have watched the ocean waves!

I've known about Gaido's a long time but every time I've traveled to Galveston I've dined elsewhere. I finally went to Gaido's and absolutely loved it! Their classic decor and seating doesn't appear to have changed all that much over the years. Some people, mostly...More

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since the 60’s. It was the hot spot everyone coming to Galveston. The iconic Crab sign, bread and glitzy white tablecloths. I moved from Houston, but every visit back we came to eat. Our last trip 2014 was superb...More

The food is always superb, as are the staff! It is kind of pricey, but totally worth it for the food, service and location.

My wife and I visited Galveston recently and we decided to dine at Gaido’s since we had both dined there as children when our respective families vacationed in Galveston more than 40 years ago! We were both pleased with the service, the food and the...More

Over a hundred years old and on the seawall, you'd think you'd be in for some first rate seafood. And yet. I find the prices high but more importantly the food just doesn't impress. I think this would have been a very impressive place in...More

It was late, we were tired and wanted some good seafood. Being from Maryland we know seafood! Gaido's hit the spot. The food was delicious! The service was good and the portions were huge. We will definitely go again if we come back to Galveston!

We were given this suggestion by our Uber driver on the way to our hotel. We walked from The Hotel Galvez which was very refreshing after being on an airplane. I would not recommend walking after dark since we passed a few areas that made...More

I did not see a child's menu. But the wait staff was very helpful. I am sure they will accommodate your granddaughter.

Description
The toast of the Texas coast. How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it can’t. That’s why Gaido’s is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaido’s is real, when others are clearly not. From red snapper and blue crab to white tablecloths crumbed with panache, there’s no denying Gaido’s is one-of-a-kind in a world of imitation. Now, after four generations of filleting, frying, grilling and baking, Gaido’s has grown into the picture perfect place of traditions– birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, reunions. As the largest fresh fish house on the coast, Gaido’s can serve up to 2,500 happy diners a day. -– for over 100 years – is truly the coastal classic.
