We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Gaido's this week! Our server Christina was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. We especially enjoyed the spinach crab dip and the crab stuffed shrimp. Christina made sure we had everything we needed...right on time and the meal was paced perfectly. We took dessert to go because we didn't want to miss the creme brulee but were too full to eat dessert at the restaurant. We highly recommend Gaido's to anyone looking for a nice dining experience in Galveston.More

One of our final spots to eat at while in Galveston was at Gaido’s seafood restaurant. This was a quick meal and after looking at the reviews and pictures on TripAdvisor we were all looking forward to some great seafood. Personally I ordered a meal...that I have never seen before or since that absolutely blew me away. The shrimp Peques really caught my attention. Deep fried Bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with jalapeños, cheese and covered in a brown sugar chipotle glaze! This was an incredible dish that was unique and had amazing flavor. This is my recommendations. Others in our group ordered shrimp, fish and pasta dishes. All were amazing. The decor is a little old fashioned but the food speaks for itself. Located right next to The Spot, this is a centrally located restaurant that you can visit any time of the day. We had a good experience here and would recommend to others.More

Not sure what has happened to Gaido's. My wife and I ate there recently to celebrate our anniversary since this is where we got engaged. My "chef special" was very sparse. It tasted "ok" but the price was high for one fish fillet and some...very small asparagus, and my wife's tuna was not very good at all. She left most of it on the plate. The best part was our de I got a better meal at Miller's and Katie's.More

Ever since I was a child, we have visited Gaido's first. I love it. The food is consistently excellent. I usually have shrimp stuffed with crab or something like that. I'm not sure if they had the delicious shrimp and grits I had once, but...I think they are. Dress code is casual. However, the interior seems quite formal. There is a lot of history on display as well. The waiters are knowledgeable and attentive. Little special things such as their crumb brushes and putting cheesecloth over the lemons so you don't squeeze them everywhere are wonderful touches. And at the end...you get lovely, warm lemon water finger bowls to wash your fingers. Between the outstanding food , it is by far my favorite place to go in Galveston.More

This dining experience was top shelf and our server, Lucio, was awesome! Not only is he super handsome, he thoroughly knows the menu and has recommendations for the best items. The lobster cheesecake was the highlight of the evening

We celebrated my parents’ 40th anniversary at Gaido’s this evening! Our waiter, Lucio, took amazing care of our table the entire time! He was very friendly, offered suggestions on food and was caring to my two younger sons. We had the crab cheesecake, which was...delicious and different! Everyone at the table enjoyed it! My boys had a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets from the kids menu and the one with the chicken said “these are really good!” which he doesn’t usually say! For main courses, we got shrimp and grits, crab stuffed shrimp and the seafood platter with snapper. Everyone loved their selections!! Thank you for great food and service the entire meal!!More
