Wow! The Cherry Pie is awesome! The four in our party (three adults, one teen) nearly ate the entire pie! We also got some cookies, and an awesome best ever in the world chocolare croissant! We bought coffees, and some cookies, and sat on the bench outside the door and thoroughly enjoyed every delectable bite!

I planned PattyCakes into our trip itinerary because I knew they had keto treats. I didn’t know they had the BEST keto treats around! Oh my goodness, the keto blueberry muffin was beyond delectable! My family loved the assortment of cookies they got, as well.
As for their Covid protocol, I don’t know where the other person that reviewed visited while they were in Galveston, but every restaurant and most retail stores we visited requested masks. PattyCake took their level of amazing service a step further and had a sign outside saying that if you didn’t have a mask, to call and ask for curbside service. They will bring it out to you if you don’t want to follow their rules. That’s above and beyond, and I thought it was pretty darn awesome.
My only regret about our visit to PattyCakes is that we went there toward the end of our trip. If we’d have gone on the first day, it would’ve probably been a daily visit for us! I will happily come back on all future trips and will spread the word with all my friends that travel to Galveston about this wonderful place!

Stayed in Galveston for two days prior to boarding our cruise ship — all to celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday week. Our special order cake for mom was ready as promised — looked great & tasted even better! We will be back for more on our next vacation.

Hubby went here without having checked the reviews. He chose powdered sugar coated cookies that were a lot like Mexican wedding cookies (10 in the package for $19), baguette ($8), and something else (not memorable for $11). These items were all of average quality: good, but not great. As someone else here has said, the items do not have prices shown, so you may assume you're ordering something and it will be reasonably priced, it's not. The woman behind the counter told him "$19." He was surprised at how expensive it was and told her. Then she surprised him by saying that she often doesn't actually charge customers for everything they order because the prices are so high. The real price, she told him, was twice that, and she was only charging for the cookies. Wow!

We went to the bakery on a Tuesday morning during spring break 2021, the state is 100% re opened with no restrictions. It's been about 50/50 if the places still want you to wear a mask. It has not being an issues so far, if a place asked us to wear one we put one on, no need to be rude or argue. So this place asked us to put a mask on, again no problem I'm out the door to the car which is 2 feet from the door to grab our masks, my wife stayed behind to look at the menu and start to get an order together. She was then asked to get out of line as I was walking back in the door, and allow the 18 people that came in after we did to jump in front of us. The other in line refused to allow that and had us stay at the front of the line. Then we had to wait while the woman now had to grab stuff from the back and take a few phone calls and so on. Now 10 minutes later she starts to take our order. I wasn't rude about the mask thing and didn't even get rude when this place decided to punish us for not have a mask on when we came in, the staff is rude and is trying to push the B.S on other and if they don't like you they will make you wait longer to order your stuff. Beware .

We're sorry for your experience. We apologize if the staff came off rude, it is not how they are trained to interact with our guests. They were not trying to punish anyone in anyway they were enforcing the policy set forth and posted on our door. We apologize if you felt they were ignoring you, they oftentimes multitask by answering calls and getting product out on the shelves while guests are looking through the bakery cases. Seems like we had a mis-understanding and we truly apologize about your experience and hope you can forgive us.

We were in Galveston this past Sunday, decided to stop and get something sweet for the road. We stopped at Patty Cakes Bakery. Went in and looked around and ended up picking out a loaf of Cranberry Bread, 3 shortbread cookies, one double sugar cookie with filling in the middle and 3 Lemon cake pops.
First of all not a single thing is priced. I get to the register and they tell me it's $48.00. My brother buys an 8 inch round white cake with white icing, and a bag of biscotti, around 12 pieces. His rang up $42.00. Combined we spent 90.00.
This is ridiculous. We won't be stopping here again. The Cranberry Bread was very dry when I cut into it, all you can do with it is toast it, you're not able to just eat it sliced out of the package.

First time here, and there were plenty of choices, including a couple of gluten-free options. The staff was indifferent when we walked in and even when trying to order. Considering there was no one else in there, this is pretty unacceptable. The cinnamon twist was very light, but lacked flavor. Not sure if/when we'll be back.

I placed my order for my wedding cupcakes back in March when we came down to pick our beach house. I had called and made a change since my initial order with no problem. Picked up the morning of our wedding and they were perfect and as ordered

We stop here every time we go to Galveston. I can't say enough about this place. We usually buy enough to eat on our trip and enought to take home for our families. We all love the cake balls and the awesome cupcakes. I even pick up a few dog treats for my puppy. This place is great!

This place was pretty nice. Biscuits were good and not to expensive these days and the coffee was ok. Not great but decent. Staff were very friendly and service was good and quick.

Convenient to Mosquito Cafe and the Strand. They had some gluten free items which were good. The cookies were nice. No so impressed by the tarts.

Buyers beware! Always take your receipt. They charged me for twelve macaroons $29.99 and I did not have any . What I had was a bag of sand tart cookies. It was a red flag when the lady said ( do you want a price on anything?) and do you want your receipt? Yes please look at your receipts

Went to get some treats and ended up not being able to eat any of it. Spent A LOT of money. Moldy pies and rock hard cookies. All items were very old. Would not recommend.

I was excited to find this place on TripAdvisor and wanted to give it a try. The building was historic which made for great ambiance of a made from scratch bakery. A great novelty! With that said, I did find a few hurdles that would prevent me from being a repeat customer, though. First is the disturbing experience of the gentleman in the back coughing all over while making pies. He had a mask on but was still not covering his mouth as he was handling the pies. With a pandemic going on no one wants to watch a baker coughing all over while touching food. Sure, we all swallow wrong, have allergies or many other reason for a cough to be provoked but the baker should have respectfully excused himself to a more appropriate area to address whatever ailment was bothering him. He was coughing for the entire 10 minutes I was there. Second would be the prices not being presented on items. Normally, that isn’t an issue but when charging premium prices ($28 for a quiche, $25 for a bag of five bagels, etc) then perhaps the customers would like to know before the price shell shock at the register. Third is quality. I had a snickerdoodle cookie sandwich but the cookies were too hard in comparison to the icing texture. It was impossible to eat because the icing squished all out upon the first bite. It ended up in my lap because the texture was consistent with a Pillsbury icing being too light to withstand being used as an icing for a cookie sandwich. Fourth is the website. I wanted to view what the bakery offered prior to the visit but the website offered no menu. On the positive side, I did find the other pastries we ordered good. Not good enough to justify the price but a tasty treat nonetheless. Overall it was an average visit.
