This place is so good! The atmosphere, the music, the food was delicious! And the churros 🤌! Michael was our waiter and he was amazing and so attentive and patient (there was 6 of us including kids) he deserves a raise! I highly recommend this...place!More

Best service

Micheal was our server and he was amazing! Accommodated to my family’s many request (sorry😅) He was everything a server should be. Very responsible, respectful, kind, and all of the above! He even offered to take our picture. The food was amazing as well, enjoyed...every bite. Will come back when we visit again!More

Great spot with great service

We decided to stop here while we were taking a walk through town and are so glad we did. It's not cheap but it was good! Our server, Paul, was awesome. We tried the fajitas and they were great. When they brought the chips and...salsa at the beginning, they also bring another sauce, I think it's a lime cilantro ranch like dip which I wasn't sure about at first but it was great. We happened to hit it at happy hour and got $5 margaritas and they were very good. We will come back if ever in Galveston again. If you go, ask for Paul and enjoy the conversations and stories- we did.More

Great food and amazing service

Had a great dinner. Amazing food - don't miss the queso or the lobster/shrimp grilled tacos. Server was very attentive and patient with us. Close to the Strand - easy walk. Would highly recommend! Only negative was the sopapillas - more dense than we liked.

Fun Outing with Friends

The drinks and food were great, and the atmosphere was welcoming and casual, but the main reason why I write this review is because of Paul; he was witty, quick and hilarious, and he made the outing so enjoyable and filled with laughs. Highly recommend...this restaurant!More

Great lunch while exploring the Strand

We had a great lunch. Waiter Michael was super. We had Taquilo’s Pescado and Baja Shrimp tacos. Both were exceptional and both were very reasonably priced as lunch specials.

They got slammed and handled it like pros! The kitchen got almost 20 Togo orders in a very short time.

Kathy and Melissa handled the in-house customers very well which had delayed food due to the To-go volume. I was impressed even thoughI was a victim of the rush. We had fun and the food was great!

Lunch

Awesome place best Ceviche around. Michael our server was the best Try the Fiesta Ceviche and get the different recipes.

Exceptional food and service

We sat outside with our fur babies. Everyone is always so attentive and friendly. Paul was so great. Went next door to surprise my husband with a hot tea. Never had to want for anything. Tacos and enchilada’s were perfect.

Great Stop for Lunch

Excellent service from our server Michael, as well as many others that stopped by to check on us. Food is good, and there's a well-priced lunch menu available. Plenty of options on the regular menu as well.

Excellent Food and Service

Loved the tamales & cilantro sour cream was my fave! Most of all though Paul was an amazing waiter. He was funny and attentive! We’re visiting from out of state and next time we’re in area we’ll be back.

Taquilo’s is fantastic

We had Christmas Eve dinner here and it was fantastic. We ordered fresh tamales to take with us and they are amazing. I had the Spicy Tuna Ceviche and it was fantastic. Paul was our server and took excellent care of us. We could not...have asked for a better server or dinner. If you are in the area I would highly recommend a stop here.More
