Was in town for business. Stayed at hotel right across road from rudy's. Stopped in every morning for a breakfast taco and a sweet tea before heading to class. My favorite breakfast taco is the sausage, egg, cheese, but they were all super good.

Rudy's has a simple premise - pit BBQ meats, a few sides, great tea, and kitschy country atmosphere. Oh, and banana pudding for dessert. :D They offer the typical BBQ options, plus smoked tenderloin on the weekends (delicious), sandwiches, and their best item - breakfast tacos. They are so delicious that you'll crave them at odd hours. Unfortunately, they aren't... More

Rudy's has wonderful Barbecue and the Smoked Chicken (1st time we have tried that) was OUTSTANDING!!! WOW!!! Such flavor and tender!!! The creamed corn was a little burnt last night but everything else was perfect!!! We have been here more times than I can count!!! They do offer $1 refills on their cups so if you get a drink, keep... More

This gas station facade may fool you, when you enter the door you can smell the smoky aroma of their barbecue cooking. My family and I have been here plenty of times and every time we are not disappointed. The Peppered Tenderloin they serve on the weekends melts in your mouth. The smokey turkey, brisket, ham, pork are all delicious... More

On a trip to Dallas, we were looking for great BBQ. We looked online and found Hucthins, but they were not open. Rudy’s was our second choice, AND a gift from BBQ heavens. I love that the place for a lot of reasons: • It is a functioning GAS STATION, to start with prices under $2. • The welcome was... More

It's not the best BBQ in Texas but it is probably the best chain BBQ in Texas. I love the cream corn plus the pork is the best meat.

To describe this as a gas station does it no justice. Once you walk inside you would never know. Meat is sold by 1/2 pound. The brisket is the best. I always try and stop here. Highly recommend

Stick to the moist brisket and the sausage. It is all I ever go for - and I know que...unlike folks from Missouri who think they know bbq...meat is prepared everyday - OK - overnight - and smoked like a mother. Really good place. Side made in house too! They DID get pimpish with the jalapenos tho...no likee there! Food... More

I go through the drive up once in awhile just to get a sandwich sometimes the meat is excellent and sometimes it's kind of hard and dried out I guess it depends on who's cutting the meat the side portions are too small their meat is smoked very well and I do like the taste of their sauce

We had the brisket and it had a lot of fat which destroyed the taste. We do understand from other people some of the other cuts are very good. If you try to compare this BBQ to KC style BBQ, it is only mediocre. Texas style BBQ leaves a lot to be desired but this only our opinion. Texans think... More
