In Frisco for the week for work. I’ve eaten here 5 times since being in town. The street tacos are amazing and priced well. Great portion size, very filling! If you dine in you get chips and salsa. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Inside is...small with only bar style seating. Picnic tables outside. If you’re in Frisco you MUST eat here.More

First time at this whole on the wall unique little Mexican taqueria. This is a family operated restaurant . I got to meet the owner and talk about how the Taco Shop opened. This is a very casual athmosphere. The picnic tables are outside sitting...on gravel - very authentic Mexican- and I side there is a small bar to sit . You walk in to what it seemed to be a house and order and pay and they bring the food to your outdoor table . Homemade from scratch, very tasteful and seasoned to perfection . They have queso fresco, but in some dishes they have the mix cheese but you can request the queso fresco. I ordered different items to have a variety and to make sure it had the Mexican taste and it does have it. The tomatillo salsa and red salsa served with the chips was delicious it had the perfect spice . Then I ordered a red and a green tomatillo enchilada with queso fresco, because I wanted to taste both flavors...let me tell you they were delicious!! Then I ordered a sope and then a fish taco! Everything was very good and I could tell it was fresh made. I need to go back for dessert. If you want to experience something different. unique and the Mexican taste and experience of a taqueria , this is the place. ENJOY!More

Nice change from Tex-Mex. It's somewhat close to So-Cal style, but misses a few marks. Rolled tacos are chicken only and somewhat dry. The shell is spot on, though I'll ask for extra guacamole, next time. The ground beef and the carne asada tacos need...more seasoning, but are otherwise decent. Nothing to be excited about, but not disappointed, either.More

I was in between meetings and had time for a quick lunch. I had passed Mariana's several times over the prior months and had not stopped, as my curious palate sometimes directs my decision/s and on this day I did. Well, it wasn't the find...of a life time but worth the $8 lunch that I laid out. Now had the taco fillings been seasoned a little more I would have been extremely happy. I ordered 3 soft tacos, 1 Chorizo, 1 Carnitas, and 1 Pastore on flour tortillas, a side of guacamole, chips and a Dr. Pepper. The meat fillings were ample with garnishings and good tasting tortillas. The meal was filling but, I did not have the revelation I was expecting in this off the beaten path eatery. Maybe I was visiting on an off day for the chef, I will give them another try to be fair. Priced fairly, ample portions, no real distinguishing tastes to knock my socks off but worth another visit.More

We found this place on Yelp as we had just landed in Texas and needed a great breakfast. This place did not disappoint. Fresh salsa, fantastic breakfast tacos and the place was clean and quiet.

Mariana’s is great authentic Mexican food...like you find in Southern California. In fact, the owner Victoria, is from Escondido, CA! Rolled tacos, Burritos that take 2 hands to hold, and great tomatillo salsa. They have a lot of outside seating and a small indoor seating...area (about 15). They keep the menu simple and do everything well. Made fresh and tasty! This is our go-to for authentic Mexican in North Dallas!More

Hard to fund but so worth it. Make sure to grab one of about 5 tables and order the rolled tacos or one of their authentic burritos and a Mexican coke to wash it down.

This is a little building with very few seats inside but a very nice, well shaded outside eating area. It was a little difficult to find (it's actually on 5th street behind some other buildings which is not what the maps said). The prices are...very good here with lots of authentic options. Chips and salsa were given to us before our food. The chips tasted fresh and both salsas were very good and also tasted fresh. The tacos were street style with two corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, and onion with a lime wedge on the side. They were decent street tacos but the meats were a little dry and had some hard rubbery pieces. I would recommend the carne asada, pastor, and pollo asado meats. We also had the carne asada fries which were really good and a new take on Tex mex for me.More

The tacos are really good, but there is no indoor seating, except for a few counter style spots. Outside is nice, until the flies descend. I would get the order to go next time.

We decided to try something local and new to us, and we have driven by this unassuming Taco Shop hundreds of times. We ordered 4 different dishes, crispy tacos, carnita tacos on steamed tortillas, the enchilada dinner, and the pollo asado burrito. All of us...left happy! They make their salsa on site, and the tomatillo green sauce left me wanting more! It's a small, renovated home with some indoor counters available as well as outdoor seating under umbrellas. They sell horchata and Coke from Mexico with real cane sugar as well as churros, barbacoa, and tacos al pastor. This is much more Mexican than Tex Mex, and it will now be considered one of our go to places for my Mexican fix! Nice customer service, great food at reasonable prices. It's a win, win, win!More
