The burgers are huge and so are the onion rings. Everything is made fresh and delicious. It's an old house and it still looks and feels like an old house - except one you can get great food in. There are plenty of drinks and...More

We ate here for lunch on a Saturday with our group of rowdy friends. You go in and basically can sit wherever you want. This place has TONS of beers to choose from. The Waitress we had was So Sweet!! She took our food order...More

Ate lunch with friends. Wonderful burgers, quail, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and buttermilk pie. Place is Texas country and biker bar mix. A bit cramped. And oftentimes a wait. Honor system for drinks is a nice touch. Ten miles from the hwy into Fredericksburg,...More

This is one of the best kept secrets in the Texas Hill Country! The place is not fancy and it tends to be a bit noisy and crowded, but you do not come here for a romantic candle lit dinner, you come here for an...More

The meal was great though large. It is worth going back there the next time we are in the area. Other than the waitress taking your order and bring the meal, one has to get their own drink and anything else that they want.

Great place to have dinner or lunch and then go to the old Tunnel and watch the Bat's fly out of the tunnel at sunset. Rest. does get crowded about that time so come early. Small but good food.

This is a jewel of restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The burgers and fries are larger portions so I always suggest that one share with your partner otherwise you will be yoo stuffed for dessert.

Alamo Springs Café is a step back in time, but clearly exemplifies what the Hill Country is all about. It is located near the juncture of the Bat Cave lookout and the café. So, you get two for the price of one. Come on a...More

This was probably the place I was most interested in visiting on our trip to Fredericksburg. It's a bit of a drive but the scenery getting there is fantastic. There is even a really cool state park right next to it. The burger and onion...More
