My partner and I ate here over the July 4th weekend.
Our waiter was Dan. He was super fantastic! Liked him a lot!!
My partner and I ordered the two chef specials. The Pork Tenderloin and the Red Snapper.
The pork tenderloin was just ok...and the snapper unfortunately was very over cooked and dry. It didn't have any kind of sauce with it so that made it even worse.
Not sure we would go back based on the menu and our experience. Perhaps an off night with the chef but you never know. :)
This restaurant is located at the far east end of main so it wasn't walking distance however, they did have ample parking.More
Our experience here was wonderful. Dan, our sever, was stellar and so much fun! We all laughed the whole night.
For a starter, we split a Caesar Salad. For dinner, I had the salmon and my husband had the short ribs. Both were delicious!
I...am not sure why the restaurant is named Navajo Grill as a name like that for a restaurant in Fredericksburg tells (at least me) nothing.
We found out the restaurant used to be the personal residence of James Avery (the jewelry maker). Now THAT would be a cool name to have on the restaurant with decor focusing on the history of him and how his jewelry business came to be.
We would definitely go back when we visit Fredericksburg again. And ask for Dan.More
Nice quiet atmosphere and good food and service (Dan). Food was good. Sirloin had a chunk of gristle in it. A bit pricy for the quality. Was not impressed with the Caesar Salad. Prime rib and potatoes with asparagus was good.
Remember it being better but its been a few years. We arrived to order the special but were informed they were out. Also told us about all the desserts we couldn’t have for same reason before we even ordered. That’s OK and the baked Brie...and burger were good but the wedge salad was a little sad and small for $12. I think they need to decide what kind of restaurant they want to be and focus on that.More
Waited 20 mins for a table. Hostess was MIA. Once seated our waiter greeted us, got us drinks and an appetizer. The goat cheese croquettes where phenomenal. There were 2 waiters for the entire restaurant. A table near had not been greeted or acknowledged at...all. We ended up leaving after our appetizer. The food we did have was great just wish they had more staff on hand to deal with the dinner rush at 8pm on a Tuesday night. 🙁More
So enjoyed our dinner here with tasty food and accommodating staff. We were moved to the patio after originally being seated next to a noisy large group. A lovely spot with heaters. The burger was enormous and the chicken sandwich was large and flavorful with...several sauce toppings. So many Navajo fries we could not finish them. Onion soup and the wedge salad were also good. Very pleasant venue and great value. James took good care of us.More
Disappointing. We always looked forward to dinner at Navajo. Tonight the service was super slow. Monitoring other guests our server was slow. I asked for fries with my salad - these didn’t arrive - I had to ask. The salad was disappointing, and my husband’s...steak was chewy. Again, disappointing- I don’t think we’ll return at any time in the future and that makes me sad.More
