We live in town and try to eat at the Cabernet Grill at least once a month. Not only is the food interesting and uniformly excellent but it also has a comfortable atmosphere and a very well trained waitstaff. Most of the servers are long...term employees. Extensive Texas wine list.More

We could not get reservations over Valentine's weekend, so decided to go on the Thursday before. The food is so good. My guy had the steak chef special, and I had the tempura shrimp. His steak was yummy, mine was blow away incredible. There is...a spicy sauce that absolutely makes the dish. We enjoyed a cab recommended by our server who was also excellent. As a side note, we spent the night at one of the suites at the Cotton Gin which is part of the complex with Cabernet Grill. That was awesome as well, and we had the most incredible picnic basket hot breakfast delivered the next morning. Such a memorable night.More

TripAdvisor did it again. So glad I read the reviews and went with the recommendations on this restaurant. I had the butternut squash soup and the lobster topped chicken fried rib eye. My husband had the pecan crusted crab cakes and the tempura shrimp. Each...serving was very generous. For dessert we finished up with the chicken fried pean pie. Service was excellent as well. Our server was Shaun and he did a great job.More

Brooks was our waiter and never had better service. Good wine list and full bar. Mixed grill, Flounder and grilled shrimp were very good. Always a good choice for dining

Excellent service! Highly recommend the squash soup, BEST soup I have ever had! Also recommend the Fried Pecan pie. Entree’s were all good! Atmosphere was great too.

We ate here our first night when we arrived at the Cotton Gin for our stay. Brooks was our server and he was fantastic. The food was amazing. We had a Pre-fix menu for NYE & I had the flounder and my husband had steak...and lobster both dishes were awesome as well as our appetizer and salads, can’t forget the key lime cheesecake and creme brûlée. Highly recommend!More

I wanted to like the food more than I did. The squash soup was amazing. The goat cheese and beet salad was fine. The New York strip steak was properly cooked and fairly seasoned. It is topped with blue cheese and a mushroom sauce. The...mushroom sauce was great, but a great steak really should not need such a heavy sauce. Overall, the food is fine but overpriced. The service was the absolute shining light of the night. The review would probably be 3 stars were it not for the service.More

I'm not sure what your question is. I can say that we made reservations well before our visit and there were 2 of us. This is a wonderful dining experience, however they require reservations. Hope this helps!!

If you go earlier or later than the coveted 7:00-8:00 timeframe, you’re more likely to get a table with no reservation
