Celebrated my 70th Birthday with dinner at Cabernet Grill. Originally from St. Louis MO area, I am accustomed to great food. My daughter treated me to the best appetizer, entree, dessert, and wine EVER! Food was absolutely delicious, artfully presented and professionally served by Jason - who is the best!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and good desserts, but I felt it to be overpriced. THE STEAK: I ordered a $38 ribeye steak that ate as if it was a big sirloin steak. I felt that it was odd that they put that they "cannot guarantee flavor or tenderness" right on the menu below the steaks. After my experience... More

Thank you for complimenting our atmosphere and desserts. We are saddened that the steak and mixed vegetables did not elicit the same response. This is an area in which we pride ourselves, so we apologize that we disappointed you. Please know that our steaks are only Certified Angus Steaks and the disclaimer you mention is for steaks ordered well or... More

Had a confirmed reservation for 6 people 4 weeks in advance to celebrate my wife's birthday. My daughter surprised us by renting a car during her overnight in San Antonio and driving up to say Happy Birthday to her mom. When we showed up for dinner at 8pm with 7 people instead of 6 the hostess & manager wouldn't allow... More

We apologize for what turned into a frustrating evening. As explained during the reservation process, we do have a policy to not sit groups larger than 6. The one exception we have to this rule is for our lodging guests, and when this occurs, we know ahead of time and we plan accordingly by seating them in a smaller space... More

Went here for a birthday celebration and had a reservation 2 months prior for 6 people at 8:00 pm. Our friends daughter came in to surprise her mom and they would not seat all 7 of us together. Referenced their policy of not seating more than 6 people together although there was a party of 10 upstairs, apparently they were... More

Food might be good, but we'll never know, customer service is horrible!!!! No food is worth bad treatment. Had a reservation for a party of 6, our daughter drove in from San Antonio to surprise me for my Birthday. We asked to allow her to join us for appetizers as she had to leave early to drive back for work.... More

Parking lot empty at 8PM we go in with 7 people and they will not sit us. There is a table of 10 in the place and they state their policy is no tables over 6, of course unless you are staying at the place. Manager very rude, place was empty, hostess very rude. Waiter was excellent and was being... More

Went here for our anniversary dinner. Had a wonderful bottle of Texas Hills Tempranillo with dinner. Delicious two pig salad followed by superb Cajun Red Snapper. Save room for dessert!!! The bread pudding is to die for. This is a very popular restaurant, so if you don't want to eat at 5:30PM or after 8:00PM, make your reservations well in... More

We went there for my birthday dinner. The online menu looks like a gourmet delight. the actual experience...very different. To start with the water came in a fancy jar, tastes like it came straight out of the tap...undrinkable. The french bread was pretty tasteless. Guys...bread is cheap..why not serve some tasty sour dough? Next was the appetizer...crab au gratin...it came... More

Beautiful front patio worthy of picture taking. Great service. Great food. Don't miss the goat cheese appetizer or the butternut squash soup! Both excellent!

A little dark, but I'd prefer that over the alternative. The environment was friendly, laid back (but not too laid back so dress accordingly) and perfect way to wrap up a day of shopping and wine tours. Our waiter was local and extremely knowledgeable. The food was excellent and they had the best of the local wineries to choose from.
