The food is just average and the prices are high. There were only 2 waitresses and ours was not a happy camper.

The German cooking was superb. It has a great ambiance. It is family owned and operated. The staff were super. They don't accept credit cards, but do accept cash or checks.

After a long day of touring the hill country we wanted an early dinner. Der Lindenbaum was open and didn't need a reservation so we stopped in and were DELIGHTED.

Had a good German dinner, good German beer and good German service. Nothing special but good food. Simple menu and good prices. Will return.

Cute, casual atmosphere. I had the wild mushroom schnitzel and really enjoyed it. The potatoes were good too. There was also a red cabbage side dish that wasn't bad, it just wasn't my fave. The other things were! Too full to try dessert but they looked quite nice! Definitely a nice place to stop and visit. Afterwards we went next... More

This is a cute restaurant in an historic building that serves German food and hand crafted beer. My friend & I both tried the schnitzel. It was served with brown mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes & beets. The schnitzel was tender & the gravy was very tasty. The mashed potatoes were a little sweet & a different taste for me. I... More

Steaks, varieties of hardy salads, good staff. Thumbs up. Had Greek salad with add in grilled chicken. Delish! Hubby had chef salad with no add ins. Plenty of protein in eggs and ham. Betting steaks are good. Can't go wrong here!

Some of the best schnitzel we ever had. I had the Wiener schnitzel and my wife had the chicken and loved it! The red cabbage was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness. The potatoes were perfect! It was your typical German restaurant ambiance/decor. The food is what differentiates this place! Plenty of room, so I can't imagine you'll ever... More

We had the jäger schnitzel with red cabbage and potatoes wish they had spätzle, but no luck. Owned and ran by a very nice German grandmother. The food was WONDERFUL , except I believe the Black Forest Cake was not made by them, it was more like something I would get from a food supplier. If you want the Real... More

My wife and I ate here on our anniversary and were not disappointed. German dishes were excellent. Intimate seating. Good wait staff. Just a nice quiet dinner. Very enjoyable.
