Have eaten here several times before and have enjoyed it. However this visit left much to be desired. The sausage plate was pricey and tasteless. Both the bratwurst and knackwurst were bland. The veal was average at best. The chicken fried steak was a large portion but the breading was too thick and too greasy. The highlight of the visit... More

Provides a variety of options (not just steak or German food) at more reasonable prices than some other restaurants in town. Décor is rather plain in this basement location and the acoustics were rather loud, partly because the place was relatively empty on this weekday evening except for one other loud-talking table. We moved to a table in an alcove... More

The food is so good and fresh. The service was very good. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices are very reasonable. I would eat here again.

This is in the basement of an old building, that I believe was a hospital. Serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. It's closed Tuesday. We each had a version of eggs benedict; both were were very good. We didn't have lunch or dinner there, but the menu looks pretty good, and I suspect they have a pretty good chef. We liked the basement... More

Ate here one night last week. Very noisy. Erratic service. So so food. My wife had a salad and it was obvious that the tomatoes had been frozen. They were a soggy mess. My sausage sampler was ok, but the sausages were only warm. Much better food elsewhere in town.

My husband and I had the Weiner snitzel which was very good. A very busy weekend but we didn't feel rushed while eating. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were doing OK and had what we needed even though she was working quite a few tables.

After a long morning of walking up and down Main street shopping, my family and I decided to stop in here for a lunch break. It is a neat hidden little spot in a basement so it was nice and cool down there and the perfect contrast to the busy crowded street above. They have a small variety of German... More

Cool little downstairs restaurant but I'm just hoping none of us get sick after watching the kitchen staff. Pros: 1. Coldest beer I've had in years! Comes in a cold bottle and the small frozen glass it is served with is perfect! 2. Waitress was great and very attentive. 3. Green beans were well seasoned and best thing on my... More

Some of the dishes were pretty good and others were super tasteless. The prices are a little high but the portions were large. The service started out fine until a rude server yelled at another and made us feel very rushed. I would not bother returning.
