Schnitzel tasted like it was a pre-formed meat patty. Apple strudel had a piece of plastic in it. Got a 2nd dessert, chocolate cake...tasted like a frozen/thawed grocery store cake...and we were charged for it! $8.00! ☹️.

This is authentic Bavarian food. The food is great and the prices are good. We really like the Shnitzel. Friedhelm Bopp has been serving the locals for 40 rears.

Came here today with my mom and her friends. Had the Chicken Schnitzel and it was very good! Also came with Red Cabbage and Pumpernickel Bread!! Very good and also great service. The restaurant was dark so my picture below didn't come out too good.

We visited with friends on a Sunday night and the crowd was minimal. Several large seating areas can accommodate large groups. Bar area is impressive! The cheese schnitzel was awesome along with the cabbage soup and pumpernickel bread! I'll try the sausage plate next time. Worth the trip!

We had been on a wine tour all day and were hot, worn out, and looking for a good meal to finish off our day. Given that state of mind, we weren't expecting to be wow'ed but were very pleasantly surprised. Service by Skyler was awesome. He was very attentive and, most importantly, kept our iced tea glasses filled. The... More

Generous portions, friendly service, wide selection of food and beer, great hospitality. Whether it's German or American food you can't go wrong. The preparation is by order and not fast but the wait is worth the experience. The ambience is refreshing and a small lunch crowd on week days. I find a reason to come here each time I am... More

Ms. Doesn't care for German food but gave in since we wee in Fredericksburg. I had the brats with sauerkraut. As original as those I had in Nuremberg years ago. She has the pork schnitzel. She was pleasantly surprised. We had a delicious salad and beef broth before the entree. The rye bread with millet seed. Amazing!

Of all the restaurants we tried in Fredericksburg this one was the least favourite. Nothing really wrong with the German based food, but it was simply OK. Prices were higher than they should be for what is a roadhouse at best. Service was average and the server seemed not to know the menu so could not explain or recommend choices... More

I know our table of 20 extroverts was silent for about 25 minutes while eating----a small miracle from the above?----NOPE, just the food! Super fun environment. My husband is a beer connoisseur and I think he would leave me for one of the dark beers our waitress introduced him to. Everyone was raving about their entree, from snitzel (sp?) to... More

restaurant was half full for lunch. the hostess seats wife & i beside a family reunion with squealing kids. why? there are empty tables across the room from this noise. the waitress greets us promptly but it's 20 minutes later before we even get water. i'm not exaggerating, checked my watch. of course we're ready to order after this 20...
