Had to ask for silverware, more water twice and the waitress wasn't attentive until we were done and ready for the check.

A lovely traditional German pub with eating garden and live music - a one man band when we were there at lunch time. Service was great and waitress very efficient. A good selection of German meals was available and it is conveniently situated along the Main Street.

On our final night in Fredericksburg we chose to eat here because of the live music. I didn't get the singer's name, but he had a really nice voice and picked his songs perfectly for the warm, spring evening. The food was delicious, with generous portions. I had the schnitzel in a lemon and caper sauce, which rivalled schnitzels I've... More

With many restaurants in and around Fredericksburg, closed Monday or Tuesday, or both, we found this by mistake. It has a very nice outdoor courtyard that sits on Main, as well as indoor seating. The menu has a mixture of German, American, TexMex dishes. We sat outside in the comfortable courtyard. I had a German dish that was excellent, and the... More

As the bride, I was very disappointed on how the waitress and establishment treated my aunt and maid of honor, we had a group of 20 so a 25% gratuity is tacked on, my aunt didn't receive her drink till 10 min after everyone received theirs because the waitress forgot about it, then my maid of honor ordered her meal... Wife and I have become real fans of German food so what else to look for while visiting Fredericksburg? Of course. We scoured TA listings but really didn't find anything that really lit us up. As we were headed to one of the places on the TA list, we walked right by the SCS and stopped to look at the... More

Enjoyed a night outside on their street patio listening to music and having a few German beers. Full menu of hill country wines and a few local breweries. Very crowded during the weekend , but service is prompt and friendly. Most people said the German food was good.

Great food, great music, great value. Excellent catfish! Go Tues for the free blues music, sit outdoors under the lights and stars.
