We drove all the way from Tyler, Tx for their famous and delicious kolaches and donuts. Before going to our next outing there in Fredericksburg, we ordered a variety of kolaches and donuts. Very delicious! Most of all, the employees and owner were very nice and friendly. The owner talked to our grandson first, while ordering, and then we all... More

I come to Fredericksburg about three time per year. I found Hill Country Donuts & Kolaches about 4 years ago! Today was my most recent visit. The Apple Fritters are second to none. The owner has spent a great deal of time perfecting them. Glazed donuts have an incredibly light glaze that melts in your mouth. Kolaches are are consistent... More

This donut shop was right next to our hotel, so we decided to stop before out trip to Enchanted Rock. What a great decision!! The donuts were wonderful and the sausage and cheese kolaches were soft and flavorful! You can tell that the owner uses fresh high quality ingredients. I also want to comment on the owner. I saw a... One reviewer complained that the kolaches weren't "traditional". There are as many ways to make kolaches as there are ways to make pizza or pad Thai. Just because it's not the way your grandma made it doesn't mean it's not good. Because the kolaches here are good. Light, airy bread with a variety of tasty fillings. The previous owner, a... More

When we entered the owners were arguing in the kitchen and did not even know that we were there until we were walking out. Their Kolaches are not traditional Kolaches. They are large and mostly dough.

Hill Country Donuts & Kolaches We stopped in on the way out to Enchanted Rock. The had a good selection of donuts, Kolaches & sausage rolls. They were fresh tasting and not super sugar glazed. My favorite is always the cream cheese Kolache, but that was my least favorite here. The cream cheese had hard chunks in it and was... More

Really good fruit kolaches and breakfast tacos! My favorite is the cream cheese! Try the jalapeño sausage and cheese kolaches also. The owners usually throw in a couple of doughnut holes with each order.

I love this place. I tried almost everything here. Love everything I ate especially the kolaches, apple fritter and the glazed donuts. I buy 12 glazed and it will not last long in my house! Love it ! Love it!
