We usually stop here for a good first meal when in town and the sausage platter and Reuben don’t disappoint. Got the beer flight and was plenty for the two of us. Been here many times over the years and appreciate that it always hits...right.More

We wanted pizza, unfortunately all the top spots were closed for a variety of reasons. Since there were reviews saying the pizza was good, we decided to give it a shot. We got in fairly quickly. So, the good: The people here are great. From...the gal who put us on the wait list, to the person who sat us, to the waitress, all really good and helpful. Also, the beer was REALLY good. Now for the food, which is why they get the meh. Pizza, just really ok. Nothing special, but not really bad. The guys said “meh”. However, the fajita salad was less than adequate. Field greens directly out of a bag, but there was plenty of it, a tablespoon of cheese, another tablespoon of veggies, three minuscule slices of avocado. To top it off, the chicken was missing. There wasn’t an ounce of meat, and what was there was hard as a rock. They charge extra for extra dressing. We won’t be going back.More

Went out of my way for a reuben sandwich. Busy restaurant. Nicely laid out and rustic old building. Average time to order and get meal. Disappointed in sandwich, very little corned beef and was salty.

Great place to relax and enjoy a laid-back atmosphere. Has great German food, but in case that’s not your style they definitely have burgers and pizza available as well on their menu. They do only carry their German beer that they brew here at the...pub and a small selection of wines. The staff is really great and very nice. I recommend this placeMore

We were turned down due to wait list time one day and went to a beer garden nearby and had a great time. Came back here the next day and got in without bush wait. The beer was not as good at the other place...and the food not as good. The young waitress was barely friendly and not as helpful as the more mature waitress at the Biergarten that served the Aldstaat (sp) beer. Better choices for beer and German food in my opinion.More

We stopped in for a quick lunch and I ordered the Rueben with hot German potato salad &my husband had fish tacos. My Rueben sandwich was excellent and so were fish tacos. The German potato salad was just so so. Service was quick and pleasant!

Four of us dined on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 around 4:30PM. We received a friendly welcome when we entered. Natalie was an attentive and efficient server. Two of us ordered the Honey Pale Ale which is a light beer and good taste. Two others ordered...the dark stout which they enjoyed. The burgers served on the sourdough bun were tasty, but the other food (chicken fried steak, onion rings, fries, coleslaw)were average or below. The two in one roll was rock hard on one side and the rye side was good.More

Beautiful, BIG place. We stopped with friends for a tasting. Sat near the back of their back outdoor patio. Very nice day. Good weather. We had some beer flights. Food and service on the patio area was pretty mediocre at best, but still worth a...visit. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff at front when you enter were very friendly. Beer flight was good.More

I had been looking forward to having schnitzel at an authentic German restaurant and what I was served was just Ok. The German potato salad and onion rings were very good. Nice atmosphere for a relaxing night out.

This brewery/restaurant has a selection of traditional German food that is good and filling. We enjoyed the jagarschnitzel, and the rolls were very good. The German potato salad was not a favorite, and not like any we have eaten before. More of a potato chunky...soup with vinegar sauce. The red cabbage was nice. The service was good and the atmosphere is fun and lively.More

We never made reservations. I don't think you need them. It should not be too crowded unless you are there on a week-end.

It's street parking on Main St. and the side streets. During the week, parking isn't bad. But, you may have to walk further on a weekend.

Yes, please call the restaurant. They may have special menu not on the website. They have an excellent location on Main right in the midst of town in a lovely old building with courtyard out back.
