Didn’t care for the food at all. Unfortunately it was a Tuesday and most restaurants are closed. My sisters had the chicken fried chicken and it was bland. I went with the jaeger schnitzel. So bland not did not like it and that’s my favorite...dish.More

We dropped in late afternoon for a glass of wone and a flight of beers. Great value, good wine and great beer. The bar tender was very helpful at advising which beers to taste.

We found this place while walking around Fredericksburg. We wanted an adult beverage with our lunch and had trouble finding a place that didn't only have beer and wine. We were surprised that the brewery had a full bar. We had a great lunch! We...were so glad we found the place. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. My fried shrimp was great too, and there was enough of them to share with my hubby in exchange for bites of his steak.More

This is a very good brew pub with very good beer and decent food. As the oldest brew pub in Texas, it had a number of good beers to offer. We considered getting a flight to taste, but instead went for the Oktoberfest, which is...pretty close to what we’ve had in Munich. For dinner with started with a hot pretzel to share (yum) and then my wife had a fajita salad, and I had Jagerschnitzel. The schnitzel was good, but the gravy was dense and lacked flavor. Both meals were huge and we couldn’t eat them all. So, go for the beer, get something to eat, and it’s not too expensive. Not superb, but very good.More

You can't go wrong here. There are many good restaurants in Fredericksburg, but this is one of the best. Great food. Good service. Family dining.

Fredericksburg Brewing Company was a wonderful experience. Gaelyn our waitress was absolutely great. The food (Scotch Egg, Schnitzel and SW Egg Rolls) and beer (9 sample flight) was well worth the visit. Will return on our next visit to Fredericksburg.

Absolutely horrible! Not one person at the table liked their food. Service is slow and they don’t serve beer fast enough to make up for the awful food

We ate here on a quiet Monday night and it lacked a bit of atmosphere. The food was OK but nothing special - we shared nachos which were a bit bland and a chicken club sandwich in a very sweet bread bun with an enormous...pile of French fries which were on the cold side. The draft beer was very good. Service was slow and a bit too casual.More

We tried to go for an early dinner on Sunday 9/3/23 at 3:40pm. The hostess talked to the couple in front of us at length and then gave us an attitude. She said it would be a 35 minute wait and took my cell home...number. She proceeded to advise we would get a text once a table was ready and warned if we were not there once the text came thru they would give our table away. I received the initial text confirming we checked in and would receive another text once the table was ready. We went to the bar and waited while others coming up to the bar were assisted in front of us. The bartender said they were out of the beer wanted to order. We ordered 2 different beers that weren't very good. On our way to the backroom w/picnic tables we noticed 3 empty tables in the dining room. After about 35 minutes later we went to go to the front desk but no one was there. We went to the shops next door and tied to kill some time. The text advising our table was ready never came. I would never get back.More

While visiting Fredericksburg for the first time, my husband and I were grateful to find this wonderful restaurant close to all the shopping on Main Street....The Fredericksburg Brewery. The food was excellent (Jaegerschnitzel, chicken fried chicken and pretzel appetizer) but better yet, the service of...Gaelyn far surpassed our expectations. Gaelyn provided a friendly and caring service level...so rare these days. Anyone visiting the town seeking great food with super great service should try this restaurant and be sure to ask for Gaelyn. You won't be disappointed!!! Thanks Gaelyn...enjoy the fair!More

Took family for here for an early dinner. We were looking for an authentic German restaurant. However, we were disappointed. There were very few German food items to select from the menu. Majority was a selection of various American dishes. Started with the Scotch Egg,...and this was delicious. I then ordered the Jager Schnitzel w/German PS, and red cabbage. I was not impressed as the food was not hot or freshly prepared (seemed like a frozen breaded pork cut with brown gravy). My family were not impressed with their meals either (sausage sampler, Salmon plate). The beer was not impressive either for being “German”. Being German ancestry and raised around the Fredericksburg area, I would have expected better. But they are only catering to the tourist, know no better. The German restaurant across the street ‘Rathskeller Bistro’ in the basement of the old hospital is the best option. There is a lot of history to the building and the owner was born upstairs “took 50years to make it to the bottom” LOL.More

Average food at best. Service was friendly but inefficient. We enjoyed our beers but I would skip the entrees and just opt for drinks and maybe a pretzel.

My husband and I both had a schnitzel plate. The portions were very large quality of the food was excellent, tender meat, perfectly done, sweet potato, fries, and peach cobbler at the end. We started with a scotch egg. It was almost a meal in...itself. We took home lots of leftovers. The service was attentive, and although delivery of the food was a little slow, it was absolutely worth the wait.More

We never made reservations. I don't think you need them. It should not be too crowded unless you are there on a week-end.

It's street parking on Main St. and the side streets. During the week, parking isn't bad. But, you may have to walk further on a weekend.

Yes, please call the restaurant. They may have special menu not on the website. They have an excellent location on Main right in the midst of town in a lovely old building with courtyard out back.
