Back a couple years when we ate there the first time the menu was bright and fun. Now it's a couple steaks, a couple fish, and a couple game items. The building lights have a strange hew to them that makes seeing when you get inside hard at first. Nice bar selection with some high end choices, wine list is... More

My wife and i tried this on a Friday night with friends that had been here before. Open and airy atmosphere with busy but friendly wait staff. Great shrimp and grits dish, good wine list.

Dined here while on a business trip. They were very accommodating with our large group and it wasn't a problem at all. The food is interesting and tasty! I was looking for more unique items, but their offerings at the time we ate there were very satisfying. We had the Fried Oysters and Quail Legs and they were outstanding! Best... More

If you are looking for a restaurant that basically brags about itself on the menu, and has a menu like one you've probably never seen, then Bonnell's is the place for you. The Wagyu steak I had was not very good, in fact my steaks off the grill for 1/5th the price are far superior (of course Im biased...). It... More

I dined with a group at Bonnell's this week. Two of the 12 guests were vegan and Chef Jon Bonnell graciously created dishes to accommodate their diets. I thoroughly enjoyed the Smoked Duck with Cardamom Carrots and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. It was terrific. Everyone at the table raved about their meals with the Shimp & Grits appetizer receiving the highest... More

Seemingly popular. Expensive, but at their prices not on par with Del frisco's, or Bobs steak house. Desserts good. Soups pretty good. Steaks not as high quality as places like Bobs.

Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine has been around for a long time. I drove from Plano where I was in town for the day on business, to dine there because I had read some good reviews about the place. The menu is quite unique with some unexpected items. I had the Texas Bruschetta with herbed goat cheese, avocado, spiced pecans, caramelized... More

I took a long term employee to this location along with our spouse's. I have raved about this place for years and can't eat there enough. The wild game options are always interesting and shoud be tempted. Just tell the waiter what you generally enjoy and allow him/her to use their experience for the suggested item. Mr. Bonnell always walks... More

All aspects of our meal were very good to excellent, but nothing was great. In particular, my steak was nice but not better than I could have made with a good grocery store filet. We were there for Restaurant Week and I was satisfied with the meal, but I would have been mildly disappointed at full price. To be fair,... More

Had a reservation for Friday night.. There was no wait and we were taken directly to our table as though we were long time "friends". Pleasant atmosphere without being overly chic. Great wine list. Specializing in not so common offerings to include (this time) quail, Elk, Wild Boar. Chef Bonnell has a knack for letting the food speak for itself... More
