I dined with a group at Bonnell's this week. Two of the 12 guests were vegan and Chef Jon Bonnell graciously created dishes to accommodate their diets. I thoroughly enjoyed the Smoked Duck with Cardamom Carrots and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. It was terrific. Everyone at the table raved about their meals with the Shimp & Grits appetizer receiving the highest... More

Seemingly popular. Expensive, but at their prices not on par with Del frisco's, or Bobs steak house. Desserts good. Soups pretty good. Steaks not as high quality as places like Bobs.

Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine has been around for a long time. I drove from Plano where I was in town for the day on business, to dine there because I had read some good reviews about the place. The menu is quite unique with some unexpected items. I had the Texas Bruschetta with herbed goat cheese, avocado, spiced pecans, caramelized... More

I took a long term employee to this location along with our spouse's. I have raved about this place for years and can't eat there enough. The wild game options are always interesting and shoud be tempted. Just tell the waiter what you generally enjoy and allow him/her to use their experience for the suggested item. Mr. Bonnell always walks... More

All aspects of our meal were very good to excellent, but nothing was great. In particular, my steak was nice but not better than I could have made with a good grocery store filet. We were there for Restaurant Week and I was satisfied with the meal, but I would have been mildly disappointed at full price. To be fair,... More

Had a reservation for Friday night.. There was no wait and we were taken directly to our table as though we were long time "friends". Pleasant atmosphere without being overly chic. Great wine list. Specializing in not so common offerings to include (this time) quail, Elk, Wild Boar. Chef Bonnell has a knack for letting the food speak for itself... More

I have been to Bonnells three or four times, the most recent being Wednesday night. I have never eaten in the dining room, preferring the casual feel of the bar. They have a great wine list and many wines by the glass AND the half bottle. Instead of a full dinner, I usually simply graze through the appetizers, soups and... More

Ok, so if you wan't to be wow'd by perfect food, service and presentation, go to Bonnell's. We travel internationally generally staying in Four Season, W, JW Marriott etc. We're hard to impress. They open at 5:30. Our day was "off", we arrived at 5 expecting a locked door. We were invited to the bar with a charming bar tender... More

One of the best, if not the best restaurants in Fort Worth. The food and service are ALWAYS outstanding. What a treat. Eat in the lounge or dining room and you will enjoy it. They always have great specials and everything is locally sourced so you know it's fresh.

We picked this place because of its menu of wild game and unique dishes, as well as the fact that is was fancy but didn't require formal wear. From the moment we walked in we were treated like honored guests. The waitress was friendly and helpful regarding menu item selections and drink suggestions. I ordered the dish that was a... More
