I love Lonesome Dove. The food and drinks are amazing and very unique. I have gone for work events and just on a night out with friends. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Perfect for a nice night out with friends or a date night where you want a little something different.

My wife and I went to the Ft. Worth Stockyard National Historic District to watch the cowboys and cattle, and to catch a quality lunch. We selected the Lonesome Dove Bistro because of its ratings and the reputation of chef Tim Love. The restaurant has a "western" atmosphere that is welcoming and the service was outstanding and friendly. We tried... More

I was in town for a conference. We had a group of about 12-15 people in a private room with a pre-selected/limited option menu. Started with an appetizer that included rabbit/rattlesnake sausage which I was a little leering of, but wow it was good. Then came a Cesear like salad that was very good. The main course was beef tenderloin... More

Awesome!! You must try the cucumber smash cocktail . The food was wonderful and service top notch!! We started with the appetizer sampler where we picked the lobster hush puppies, elk sliders, scallops and rabbit sausage. All very good!! I had the shredded tenderloin sandwich and my friend had the double BLT ( which wasn't your typical bLT ). We... More

Wow what a steak. If you're a meat eater, get down here right away. Delicious steaks, sliders are awesome and my first taste of snake didn't disappoint. The second course of salad was also brilliant. Deserts are crazily good. Decent wine list too. However, steaks are sublime as you'd want them and expect them to be.

Interesting menu with many items worth trying in a rustic setting near the stockyards. Appetizers were the stars for our table but the beef and fish were also decent. Pork chop was adequate. Drinks/wine somewhat pricey but this is to be expected as this is not an everyday restaurant. Worth a try.

What can you say....Tim Love kills it. With so many great places to choose from in Fort Worth, the Lonesome Dove probably doesn't get enough love. The innovative menu is killer. Every course there are 8-10 options. Sides are wonderful, we had the Yukon Gold smashed potatoes. This place is pricy for sure. Dinner for two with a nice bottle... More

Although I thought this looked unkept and a little strange from the outside the decor inside was perfect. My server was very helpful and friendly. I had the salad for starters (butter lettuce I think) this was rather a disappointment. Presented well but there were far too many seeds and the dressing was overwhelming! Too much and too strong it... More
