Heard some amazing stuff about the food: Adventurous, expensive, delicious. I had sausage made from rabbit and rattlesnake, so "adventurous" it was indeed. It was also about five degrees above room temperature and there were six bites total. (Tasted pretty much like any other sausage, by the way, which was fine and expected.) Shared between my friends and I were... More

Went with our son and his girlfriend for dinner on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We had the Elk Sliders and the Rabbit-Snake sausage as appetizers. The sliders were overcooked but the sausage was good. The sausage was served on a hockey-puck of greens that was not tasty at all. Has the tenderloin (the recommended entrée) and it was over-cooked burnt... More

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Very sophisticated yet down to earth. The menu which focuses on game meat was delicious and uniquely prepared. French fries prepared with a mushroom dust were amazing! Service was excellent.

We ventured into the Lonesome Dove Bistro to explore the culinary world of Chef Love. The adventure began with some signature cocktails, the Texas Jewel was especially shining bright. Our server, Matt, was very well versed on all items on the menu and offered expert guidance for our selections. The Rabbit-Rattlesnake sausage and the Garlic Stuffed Filet were outstanding. The... We were in town for one night, and wanted a special place to eat not far from downtown Ft. Worth. We selected Lonesome Dove based on Trip Advisor ratings, then viewing the menu. A party of 10, we had a Saturday night 8:30 reservation. We were seated promptly. It's usually not possible to please 10 different tastes with a restaurant... More

Food was excellent. We had the rabbit and rattlesnake sausages, elk sausage sliders, wild boar ribs, kangaroo carapaccio and hamachi tostados plus the elk loin. The food was excellent. But the service was really disappointing. We were seated at 6:10 p.m. Our waiter, Chris took our drink order at 6:15 p.m., the same time as a table of 3 was... More

Travelers, a Great place to eat, very upscale and pricey but worth it! We ate outside by the fire pit which was nice even though the extremely rickety chair was terribly uncomfortable! Having said that the good was FABULOUS! The staff was outstanding, there were a bunch of kids running around our area and they got them to go back... More

Dinner Friday night with my wife and daughter. Very good experience. Food was very good, service was very good. Our waiter, Dave, was easy going and always easy to find. The "Beet Home Fries" may have been the best beets we ever had. Our steaks were very good. Good wine list as well. No bargains on the list, but a... More

Lonesome Dove is a MUST if you are in Fort Worth...and well worth the drive should you be in Dallas! Go in your Levi's or business suit... and they'll welcome you...nothing snooty about this place. The food is exceptional. It is in my top five restaurants in the world. The appetizers are extraordinary...blue corn and lobster hushpuppies or tenerloin of... More

I was in Fort Worth and felt it my patriotic duty to get the best steak in town. Visited three locations, but only Lonesome Dove claimed the steak was USDA prime. Note that it is not stated in the menu, whereas all the restaurants that I have been to before that served USDA prime were certain to prominently state the... More
